    Morning all :D

I got my errands run yesterday including the antibiotics and new food for Z. DD did the bare minimum of jobs while I was out so I made her get up at 6.30am and do them this morning instead :D I did warn her but she ignored me. Any way, when we got up this morning we were greeted by Z not very happy at all after peeing on the floor during the night and burning up :( Cleaned it up and opened all the windows & the backdoor downstairs, but he's now cooled down again. It was very muggy here last night, and I'd had the tumble drier on as well earlier in the evening so I think thats why he was so hot. He seems much better, just sulking now due to all the cleaning :rotfl:

DD has gone out with ex to the cinema and since I'm hot and sweaty from cleaning I'm treating myself to a soak in the bath in peace. I'm hoping it'll ease the back ache I've woken up with. Going to update my list now and it can be finished off later or even tomorrow :p If it's gone its done or not applicable. Not washing any curtains/windows or cleaning outside as the forecast for the next week is basically wet and the workmen nextdoor are clearing the yard out back and filling the skip out front :p

According to this the reward should have been just over £15!

Ah, but the original offer didn't say one shillings worth, it said one shilling. Or 1s in old money :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
    Better is good enough.

I just wondered how vast the reward would have been had it been inflation-proofed! But I would have preferred the 1/- anyway.

Note - Valli is SO old she can write old money in old money stylee! :rotfl:

Here in Derbyshire we're about as far away from the sea as it's possible to be. A teacher friend of mine was telling me she know of a secondary school student for whom work experience was being arranged. Apparently he was interested in Marine Biology. They arranged for his work experience to be undertaken here :rotfl:

I am so old that I can remember 3d bits and paying the milkman odd farthings :rotfl:

Grr, next-door-but-one have got a really smelly BBQ - they seem to have used a whole bottle of starter fluid - and it's ponging all over my nice clean washing

Making slow progress with these boxes, but a bit more rubbish has been shredded.

    Flying visit, pardon the pun...

Been out to DD ballet to be advised there is a performance this afternoon, she was shown the gold sequin halter-neck costume before they asked mummy if we could make it  so we are popping back out in an hour. I really must get myself on the notification list

Just done a HHC getting upstairs bathrooms hygienic. Main one floor was yuck! It's not now!

Also got a wash done and hung up. Now we need to try not to wear any holiday things, apart from the party clothes. Which is what I'm sorting next, so we can all get some shut-eye after the dance, and be raring to go tonight!

We need to be up at the sports centre in an hour - I need to go to the cashpoint after...

Nicki- hope your back has eased after your bath.

I have had a lovely day here. Took ds1 to a party and I pootled round town and picked up some bargains that will go in my gift drawer for Christmas!

We have tidied the playroom and if is looking as good as it can considering it is a makeshift playroom and there isn't any storage in there. Three huge cardboard boxes are now empty :T just by condensing the boxes down and reorganising! While I could see the carpet I gave it a quick Hoover!
Have also been in my r of d which I can now see the floor! Two boxes hav been emptied and some stuff has been chucked!
I hav come across loads of old phones, the saddo that I am- I have found all their matching chargers and charged them up. I should just chuck them but I am worried what might be on them! That's probably really silly!

Anyway out to another party in a bit and won't be back until 9 as it is 45 minutes away. I might just get some chips from the chippie on the way Home as hubby has been out all day watching the footie and has informed me that he has just stopped on the motorway to get something to eat so he Wont want anything and kids will eat at the party!

    Updated list...

    Clean dining room windows-filthy!

    Extra Task List
    sort ds2s warderobe!
    HHI

Well done Frizzle. I'm like you worrying about stuff left on things. We have several phones and 2 CPUs in our walk in wardrobe :( I would love to get rid.

Took ds2 to see Pixels and to buy a birthday cake.

Ironing done by DH in the boiling heat. We have had lightening but no thunder and almost hail.

    House henried
    Bathroom cleaned
    Roses tended to

Need to mow my legs later as I haven't been able to fit in waxing and swimming is on the agenda next week
No doubt AF will return from being missing too.

I remember old pennies and half pennies for bus to take sisters to school. I also use to think old people passengers were Aliens as they used coins with holes in them to pay their fares. :)

    Thundering now

    Back garden deadheaded.
Washing brought in and whirligig shut down just before the thunder, lightning and heavy rain started.
Have read 3 chapters of my book; need to go back and make notes from the relevant bits tomorrow.
A little bit of progress made with the resource boxes, but not much - however, the sun is no longer streaming in through the study window so I've got half a chance of getting a bit more done this evening.
Potatoes cooked for tea; salmon ready for the microwave and salad still in the fridge.
    No sign of DH!
