Did i just hear that she works nights? So the children are left on their own all night. You do realize that you could be prosecuted if anything was to happen to them in the night.0

So why can't her new partner drive the children to school ?
(Oh don't tell me he also doesn't drive and rides a horse to work as there are no buses ...as his partner works for him but works nights perhaps they horse share as she doesn't drive but works nights)
You've also not responded to the question how other children in the area get to school btw
(Amazing they managed to meet let alone get to the point of living together working opposing shifts...... Are you sure one of the houses these poor kids are shuffled between isn't under a bridge?)I Would Rather Climb A Mountain Than Crawl Into A Hole

So perhaps the sensible thing to do would be move the children to the local school they can actually get to from the house they stay at in the week
Presumably you want to say you "kept" the kids - but the simple fact is they do now have two homes a weekend/holiday one with you and a weekday one with their mother -and for any legal and practical viewpoint they do live there as they spend more than half of each week sleeping there.
How long has this carting them at 6am from one house to another been going on ?I Would Rather Climb A Mountain Than Crawl Into A Hole

Then maybe you need to find a different solution - like moving job.
Unfortunately we don't live in an ideal world. I had just been offered my dream job when my husband and I split up - I had to give it up and work a job with less money and less status but better family friendly hours because my son's needs had to come first .
There's a saying "No-one ever said on their deathbed "I wish I'd spent more time at work"........... however plenty of people do say "I wish I'd spent more time with my kids" Don't be one of them - whether it is find another job or move home or move the kids school but this kind of messing about isn't doing anyone any good. What happens if your ex splits up with her boss or he decides he doesn't want two stroppy teenagers living in his house (all teenagers are stroppy but the blood tie stops us booting them out
)...... You can't have childcare especially overnight based on relying on someone else to this extent. Realistically if you want the kids to live with you -the nights will have to go -and all this too-ing and fro-ing isn't sustainable long term without the kids suffering.
