Glad to hear your son is looking forward to it. I have the LP, not listened to it in a long time, though.

This has reminded me that Easter is close and I've planned nothing. To be honest, I don't really want to go anywhere but that wouldn't be fair to my son.

Thanks for welcoming me Ali

We don't really have a target in mind as such, in fact we have probably reached it in terms of a deposit. We moved out of the UK two years ago with my job and had a real pay increase so have been saving hard since then. We have about €60k, which is about £46k depending on exchange rate. Its a decent amount to have but we are not that young and we have no other equity or property. The issue now is to decide whether to buy here in another part of Europe or to keep saving and wait to move back to the UK. Its just so expensive there!

Thanks for the ongoing inspiration, I really need to get into spreadsheets but if I'm honest I'm not too sure how to use excel :embarasse

Justin Hayward - Forever Autumn...the single sits in the loft still :D I couldn't afford the album, but DB has it being 4 years older :)

AFK - I'm hoping I'm closer to half way to finishing the mortgage, April 26 is worst case scenario :D . Imagine being on MSE for 20 years though

Cath - do PC keep rejecting you or are you waiting on a sign up link? I'll look out for one for you if the latter - usually FPL have a monthly allocation.

Alex - if you don't fancy doing much over Easter, just some different dog walks and visiting your cousin, having one of his school friends over...keeping it simple works :)

Anavand - Superb deposit building, well done :T Sure you'll make the right decision for you when the time comes :)

Ahh...spreadsheets :D They've changed my money life for sure! If you need any help just shout - sure there are templates we can find for you or some simple 'how to' to get you going :)

Day mostly written off to work, dinner tonight from the freezer. Housework and any need to do's tomorrow, keeping it simple and spend free :)
    Back on the DFW Wagon:

    CC - £3,300 on 0% til 04/2020
    CC - £4,500 on 0% til 02/2019
    Loan - £12,063.84 as at 4/1/18

Was in Lid! today and they had boxes of small easter eggs for a Easter Treasure Hunt, just imagine the delight on their faces when they find the eggs. Nice and simple, fun for little LK, lots of ideas if you google them :)

Ali: Thanks, I just cannot be bothered at the moment. Just about getting through work but apart from that I cannot concentrate on anything. Also need to do some work towards my course, so I think son will be going to my cousin's for a few days (bad I know but he loves it there).

Not really doing very well at being a good parent at the moment. Wife took him out today because I couldn't face it.

Frayed Knot: Thanks, I think an Easter egg hunt could be good fun. :)
