Had a mortgage too long - it's going, going, gone!

Was a silver Mustang unlocked in the showroom, a red locked on the forecourt and a red demonstrator that was driven out...sounded really good.
Mine is 2 years old now, it's flown by. Valet is a useful freebie, why not ask when yours is next in for service? (or do you do it yourself). I should clay bar, polish and seal this year really.Back on the DFW Wagon:

Aww thanks, you're all so lovely
:rotfl: at INOD. Thinking ahead with cars as DS will be 17 in 18 months. Ideally, he'll just use mine as and when needed once he's passed his test, but could need his own if he does A levels at the STEM college in an awkward to reach village rather than the one in town (his school finishes at 16 unfortunately).
Turning into a lovely sunny day again here. Am tempted to follow DFOD's plan and head to the nursery to look at plants/seeds - salad leaves growing would go well with the tomatoes (if they surface). I've banked birthday cheques/money, keeping a little back for topping up the borders. Winter pansies are looking mostly good again, so will leave those for a while longer.
Done quite a few housey jobs, just the cleaning left to do. DS's friend is here and only staying until 4pm but they're self sufficient except for lunch!
Nothing happening financially except pence added to Inbox £s and 25 points picked up with LuckyPhone. A provisional £965 capital payment pencilled in too - dropping me into £108, but I will review that depending on extension progress/invoices.Back on the DFW Wagon:

Thanks Lippy
Belated gift of a colouring book and pens for grown ups received today
...guess what I spent 2 hours doing this afternoon! Trip to plant nursery didn't happen.
Increased council tax advertised in local paper today - mine is now a whopping £2,005.42 before the single adult discount (£1504 after). £150 over 10 months or £125 over 12 - latter is what I'm on - up £5 a month. Going to be paying full whack once DS is out of education too
Am revisiting the fire risk tumble dryer replacement option too, having decided against it previously, think it might be a wise move. Plus they've added the bigger and more energy efficient condenser one for £99.

Certainly a very tempting purchase.Did you get to take the demonstrator out?
Defender won't need a service until the end of the year but I won't be servicing it myself, I've got a 3 (or 5, can't remember) year service plan.

Don't share your car with your son! Half the fun of a first car is it being your own transport and learning how to fix it!
Have you taken him driving yet? I do look forward to when my son gets old enough to drive LRs around fields.2018 totals:

Lovely gift.
I also received the same at Christmas time - my friend thought it may reduce my stress levels :rotfl: (an old schoolfriend who actually works in the same place as me - so knows the amount of stress I was under) and know what, it works
Always have 00.00 at the end of your mortgage and one day it will all be 0's :dance:MF[STRIKE] March 2030[/STRIKE] Yes that does say 2030  Mortgage Free 21.12.18 _party_Now a Part Timer from 27.10.190 -
