Hi Cath
Extension moving slower than the planning permission stage now. Architect still working on tech drawings and haven't had the Structural Engineer's invoice in either... means I'm hanging onto my pennies longerBit of a debate on whether mine is classed as one or two extensions as well for Building Regs application and therefore cost (plural on PP, single on other paperwork).
No returned call from pension chap.
Food shop done and £22.95 spent.

Worked this morning and caught up on admin this afternoon. Dinner was a chip shop treat at £3.85 and a quiet eve. I know how to celebrate :rotfl:
Cath - Fingers crossed for a positive result on your PP very soon. A bull park figure is useful to have, hope quotes are more forthcoming soon.
Weekend looking fairly busy - car in for it's service whilst I wait, then taking DS to town to move his savings (fingers crossed), getting his hair cut and need a few bits in W!lkos.
Back for friends coming round later and aiming to make a cake for that too.
Ooh, pension chap phoned - paperwork is ready and I shall sign on the dotted line next Thursday :j Another box ticked on the retirement plan list.
Early night as well...middle-age syndrome :rotfl:Back on the DFW Wagon:

Thank you
Good to see you back Lil and keeping up the OPsHa, fishcake and chips last night, was all about the chips
Few spends today after car was serviced. Dangerous to leave me in the showroom (not helped by encouraging sales peeps), but took advantage of free coffee and newspapersDS haircut £15, W!lkos £1.15. Moved DS's savings finally. Free parking.
Lots to do at home tomorrow, so a pottering and housework day in the making, whilst DS has a friend coming round who I expect I'll end up feeding both for lunch and dinner.
Hope it's another nice day too.Back on the DFW Wagon:

What have you bought, Ali?
On the subject of cars, a friend of ours with a classic Dodge came over today and we went to see the new Ford Mustang. Have to admit it looks rather good and also good value for money (5.0ltr V8 with 500bhp for £37,000).2018 totals:
Savings £11,200
Mortgage Overpayments £5,5000 -
The Mustang is lovely Alex...viewed a couple there (and heard one) today.
No new car bought :rotfl: though did come out with mine washed, vac'd and looking like new againAnd another year of roadside assistance for free.

We saw a red GT. Locked, not running so didn't get to have a proper look. Friend did ask us if we'd go for a new Dodge Challenger or the Mustang for a similar outlay. The downside of the Challenger being it's an import only, LHD only car. However, it does have an advantage of exclusivity in this country.
How old is your car now?
ETA: Not sure how you get these free valets ... we get no such thing from Land Rover.2018 totals:
