Been a busy week with work and life in general. Not in the best place emotionally either and finding that a big tough, to be expected but being pre-occupied I'm doing daft things more often than usual :o Slippers in the fridge anyone :rotfl:

Still, lots of NSDs this week apart from the food shop tonight with a spend of £36.59 - £6.40 being Creme Egg boxes x 4 for Easter token gifts and extra with DS around all week.

Free food last night at an event DS was taking part in so a meal saved from the plan.

Continuing my clamp down on buying VAT free foods, I found out Jaffa Cakes fall under that umbrella. That must make them a cake as choc topped biscuits attract VAT. ;) VATable items was once again limited only to doggie purchases.

    Financials:
    - bank accounts being checked
    - freepostcodelottery being checked - bonus up at £9.55
    - Inbox £s - up at £18.46
    - Qmee up at 55p in the pot
    - £30 from the change bucket to be banked
    - Product to review arrived with a follow up survey worth £3

Car tax reminder in and done online - princely sum of zero :D

Forms completed for DS's H$BC application to get his savings moved from his now lower 2.25% Ll0yds Young Saver to the 3% MySavings next week during half term.

I chased the Structural Engineer and will have the calcs and invoice early next week.

Found a few free things to do - couple of local museums and an art exhibition (he quite likes art) and Doodle has her vacs appt. I've got a lunch with a friend (we'll use vouchers) and rest of it split between being with Mum and work stuff, though a week off from client facing stuff. Pension chap is meant to be coming, but hasn't contacted me to make the appointment, so no idea what's going on there and why it's taking so long. And DIYer will be popping over hopefully to sort a leaking tap - was new less than 12 months ago

I've increased mortgage capital payment to £865 at the moment, but with 17 sleeps to go that could change :)

Hope you're feeling better soon. Your half term sounds like it'll be good. I'm taking my son to a few museums too. :)

All sounds good on the financial front :), hope things improve on the emotional front.

Is your dog Doodle? The greyhound is Donovan, but then we started calling him Wackadoodle (because he is one), and then Doodle, as well as Noodle Head (Noodle). He responds to any of Donovan/Doodle/Noodle. :rotfl:

Sounds like you are super busy Ali. Try and take some timeout for yourself too.

I also love saving a meal off the meal plan! Stretches the budget by a whole day!

INOD, we've still got films from Christmas to watch so a great idea to plan in a sofa day. DS is likely to have one of his friends over too.

Cath, I reckon some pamper-me time is in order :) Bath, nails, facial, wrinkle filler :rotfl:

Hidden - she's a gorgeous golden and large Labradoodle, so gets called Doodle, Doodle-Bug or Mrs Sheep due to her coat :D She has got a name but we don't seem to use it anymore :rotfl:

Alex - I'm sneakily dragging DS to a museum near the art exhibition, he doesn't know it yet ;) but think it'll be useful for his studies. The other one is right up his street as it's a small military one.

Emotionally I'm fine until I've spent more time with Mum, reality hits home and sets me off. Takes me a few days to get back on top of those feelings each time. I guess it's a form of grieving. Am fine when with her, but then Miss Organised and Efficient here has the job of sorting the practical things so she's keeping me busy :)

Wait till you get to the "milk in the washing machine"stage :o :rotfl:

I remember the big debate about the Jaffa "cakes" :)

    Financials:

    - freepostcodelottery being checked - bonus up at £9.55 - Still struggling to get up to £5.00 for the bonus :)

    - £30 from the change bucket to be banked - Taking change from "fat piggy" cause I needed the change for my bus :o
    - Product to review arrived with a follow up survey worth £3 - Done a survey this morning, will wait and see if I get a product.

Car tax reminder in and done online - princely sum of zero :DPour qui ???

Your doing great, but don't burn yourself out, take that "pamper time" to recharge. Enjoy your term week.

Let me guess...is it Vinnie Von Schnauzer when he's in trouble?!

AFK - been doing FreePostCodeLottery for over 2 years without a win, but haven't taken up any of the bonus offers that they've started recently.

£4 from the change bucket went to DS today for a school science book. Still got the £1s and 50p's to bank tomorrow.

My car is a Nil band road tax rate - great saving and sticking with it until it's death having seen the rates that come into force for new cars from April 2017 - only electric cars will get it then.

Better check my washing machine and hope I only put washing in there an hour ago :rotfl:
