Had a mortgage too long - it's going, going, gone!

Hmm...see I need to start thinking about mortgage neutrality rather than OPing. New rate = new things to think about!
Indeed - I'm working (slowly) on shifting my mindset towards mortgage neutrality, at least while I can earn 5% interest and pay less than half that on the mortgage.
Shame that (for me) seeing a debt number decrease is much more exciting than seeing the equivalent number go up in savings. Need to figure out a nice way to visualise mortgage neutrality so that it becomes exciting.0 -
I love a good graph
Bar chart is calling me... :rotfl:
I'm the same, I'll have to throw something at the mortgage whatever.Back on the DFW Wagon:

You got a good rate there Lil.
Yes, they'll be POA in July still, but it's usually the smaller of the 2 bills.
On paper I'm £500 away from what I need for the car payment in April..that'll be in the bag next month no worries. Sorry, I worded it badly before.Back on the DFW Wagon:

Daily interest figures are fantastic on new rate, and it won't be long before you work out which month you dip your monthly interest under £200 mark!MFW: Was: £136,000.......Now: £47,736.58......0

May 19 for below £5 a day  Will all be smaller and slower on the lower rate, but won't forget it's dropping 32% with change of rate
You've laid down a challenge there SJ!
Not done much else today. Washing dried on airer and have put that away. About to cook duck, as with Ald!'s cue and spring onion in the Super6 I picked some up in the weekly shop and we'll have some tonight in pancakes.
Got given a big chunk of HM Christmas cake too this week, so that for nibbles later.Back on the DFW Wagon:
