Glad to hear your mother is home.
All sounds rather positive, especially news that the CBT has helped.

Thanks Lucky - aiming for short term goals now, so having Mum home and with us for Christmas is the first - half way there
I'm convinced tax bills come 6 weeks early in December to remind us not to spend the money on Christmas :rotfl:. July ones usually arrives early same month. Odd!
I always pay the Jan one as is, but if I get my accounts in to accountant early after financial year end, he gets the July one righted to exactly what I owe (unless it's more than requested then we leave it).
Generally works out to my advantage, but see your point too and always know what the bill is going to be as Accountant sets it out.
Yes, I read you putting it in Premium Bonds - that's a good idea especially with the wins you've had. Think I've made about £50 in interest in the last year!
Think you're right on fuel - certainly driving will make me man up to any panic symptomsBack on the DFW Wagon:

It'll be a special and likely emotional Christmas this year.
Spot on with the adjusting - usually early May we're sorted, but then I've usually submitted to accountant within 2 weeks of year end as I'm sad like that :rotfl:shangaijimmy wrote: »As if Christmas isn't busy enough and it throws all that at you!!

Hello there. I can see that you have a 5 year fixed mortgage with a 5% early repayment charge. Good luck paying off your mortgage. I have an interest rate of 4.09 on my mortgage.0

Glad you have mum home.
Can I ask how you came by CBT on NHS? Just because am aware I really need to do something for me....Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became
In the event the proverbial hits the fan then co-habitees are better stashing their cash than being mortgage free !!0
