Penny-Pincher!!

Hi Guys!

Just to say I'm still alive and kicking:D

This past week has been a nightmare and the infection seems to be pro-longing ....TBH though, I dont really want to talk medical stuff:p

OH & DD hasve been keeping up with the washing and tidying etc as I havent been much help to anyone:o

....I must tell you that I made a WICKED soup the other day with odds and sods from the fridge and cupboard. There was 3 slices of smoked back that was curling. Fried an onion and chucked the bacon chopped up into it. Added stock made with 2 veggie cubes, then OH chopped carrots, courgette and a spud...put that into it. Boiled for 20 mins and the smell was devine. It was quite runny, so I added a little cornflour to thicken, then waited for it to cool down. OH then blended it with the stick blender. It made 1.3ltrs and is lovely. Will freeze whats left tomorrow into portion sizes for lunch.

Anyway, dont want to waste too much energy.

We are off on hoiday next Saturday to Taunton...anyone know of any nice places to visit locally?

Good for him! But frogga, I would still ask for a refund as he only got a portion of teh tuition that he paid for.

Hello to you all havent got used to all the names of everyone and there chatting but im sending ((((((((hugs)))))))) to you all cause its always good to get a ((((((((((hug))))))))))) not having a good day today should have gone back to work today but am not feeling to good boss not very happy but cant be helped so i have been vegging on the sofa till now have got to go back 2morrow.
My OH has got his kids staying for the week he picks them up in the morning so i will have to get better real soon as the house will be over flowing with girls and there pre-teen and teenage paddies shoul be fun have got to think of what we can do any ideas greatly received Rachael x

Have a pampering session with loads of smellies et.c and do hair and nails

Rent out a DVD

do some baking

DLB...was this a one-off 'handless' for OH or is he like mine, likely to break beyond repair anything he attempts to fix? I will admit that there have been a few exceptions in 37 years, but not enough to really count. He made me these two grand boxes for my experiment in 'foot square gardening', the idea being that you physically divide space into one foot squares, filled them up yesterday pm for me to start this morning and then what did he do??? start sowing seeds right across one...wanted to kill him but decided not to bother at this stage!

Rant over, but have now forgotten anything else I wanted to say so will just wish you all a happy and fruitful day, welcome to any newbies I have missed and hugs to Jockett, Smokey and Annistar.
