    morning all,
not read the thread for today yet, hopefully get around to that later.

Well i am allegedly recovering from my overdose on monday night. Got to start on some new anti depressents so we will wait and see.....

Not been a lot of OS living going on in this house this week. Not done any flying either so its a bit of a bomb site, and we have been eating out of the chippy!!!

however, hoping to make a fresh start today and hopefully get back on the wagon again.

Im off to visit my best friend today and no doubt get a big row from her regarding what i did earlier in the week but then thats to be expected,

    have a great day everyone
and thanks to all for the hugs this week they are appreciated.

In 1 week's time I'm going to be internet-less...sniff, sniff. However, I will have a house. So I suppose there is a good point. Everything is going through today, but we won't move in for a week because of lack of carpets.

Contents insurance sorted today...waiting for paperwork to complete the life & critical illness insurances.

With luck I'll get what I expect from my old work and then I can afford to have sky. If OH can afford to pay for a phoneline. Then we'll both be happy for a while

    At least in theory anyway.

I will be around now and then when I pop in to see the family. I don't know how I'm going to manage without MSE and my clicks every day.

Edit: forgot to mention Lily has to be put to sleep so that they can take a proper look at her eye. She's too wriggly for them to do it when she's awake. Booked in for her 'op' if you can call it that.... on 25th September. Apart from that everything is going fine.
Baby Year 1: Oh dear...on the move

Lily contracted Strep B Meningitis Dec 2006  Now seemingly a normal little monster.
Love to my two angels that I will never forget.

Glad to see that JackieO is being her usual disgraceful self........... :rotfl: Made me laugh out loud.

Good luck with the test today Frogga's DH. Although I would be livid about the cost, got to try and get something positive out of it.

Well this is the first day of my 'retirement'. WM on - think it is about finished by the sound of it, so it will go out on the line as it is such a beautiful day. OK, will take off the rose coloured specs now and keep an eye on the washing as its all gone dark out there.

OH off to Scotland with the boys on the bikes, so looking forward to a few days on my own. I have one of the bedrooms as 'my room'. Here I have all my craft stuff from sewing to paints to calligraphy. I will put my pc in there and make it my base. So off to IKEA or wherever later to get some storage so that can be more methodical about where everything is.

Have a great day everyone and will be back later to see what's going on.

    Jan xx

Grrr. How come every time we're in a rush to get somewhere the toddler's shoes disappear? It may be old style to only have one pair of shoes each but it's not very practical if we can never remember where we left them!
May all your dots fall silently to the ground.
  • Hi all,

Lovely to hear from JackieO - naughty girl!!!

I'm off to visit the secret nuclear bunker near Nantwich now with my OH - apparently there are hundreds of the things all over the place. It's really nice having a holiday at home - we're doing things we wouldn't normally do. And it's so much cheaper than going away!

Out for a meal tonight at a friend's - he's a fantastic cook so should be yummy.

    Have a good day everyone.

Jackie you are a foxy bird - hope you got luvely bums phone number those new boobs of yours will need showing off:rotfl: Great to see you back mate I missed you:j

Scuzz i agree dont withdraw the application wait for their response.

Absolutely throwing it down here so I have a very sorry looking yorkie at my feet (wondered why they call them rats now I know:D ) It was fine when I set out for the walk honest. Anyway as I said yesterday he isnt used to walks so starts off very reluctantly (like just sitting down in the middle of the road and not shifting!!) but he is starting to get used to it and seemed to really enjoy the walk this morning before the clouds tipped their entire contents all over him - may have set him back a bit again now.

My neighbour arrived in Barcelona last night and then as they were checking in to the hotel got their bag stolen with passports/money and loads more stuff in - Welcome to Spain eh:mad: They are now having to spend the day sorting out emergency passports. Everyone had said to be careful down Ramblas and in the touristy bits but you dont expect to be robbed in your hotel lobby.

Anyway today I really need to get some work stuff done that I have been putting off for a week then later on ill take ratty for a long drag:rotfl:

  • Hello Everyone - I got to the computer a bit earlier today as DD1 is working an extra shift at her Saturday job in Boots.

Gingham Ribbon, Donny-gal, Essex Girl - hope you all have great holidays.

Scuzz - if it were me, I would wait until I saw if I got the job or not, as I think you can make a more informed decision then, but that's just me...

Frogga - good luck for OH's HGV test later

JackieO - I am so glad that you are on the mend - your post made me laugh out loud!

Alibob - glad you had a better day yesterday.

Tooties - Be kind to yourself - hope things look up with the new anti-depressants.

I have a mountain of ironing to do today, plus exOH wants me to book a holiday for him and the kids. That is him all over - he had no idea how to do anything when he lived here and still expects me to do everything!

    Have a great day everyone!
