Just a quick one from me to say,
JackieO, it's lovely to hear from you, you naughty thing!! I have this vision of your softie "escaping" in all sorts of inappropriate places, and you having to retreive it out of other peoples dinner etc with dignity! LOL

No time to chat, am finishing early today on account of having to give up my Sunday afternoon to travel down to London (need to be in the office for 9am), and there's still loads to do.............

    TTFN
  • JackieO you are truly an inspiration to us all.

Nelski, I laughed so much at your description especially 'Take ratty for a drag'

    Hello everybody,

Been a bit like a mad house here lately. The house is chocka's and OS has gone to pot. :D We raced off to Dreamworld the other day and DGS loved it. He especially loved the snakes which he tried to kiss through the glass  and the massive crocodiles. Couldn't care less about the sweet little koala's & kangaroo's but loved the tigers. :p Boys will be boys I suppose.

YS arrived back yesterday which has been lovely.

JackieO :rotfl:Lovely to hear all went well.

Well better get going. I've finally got my computer back. :jByeeeeeeeee
Don't worry about the world coming to an end today. It's already tomorrow in Australia. ;)

    Hi All!

Its my mums birthday today, and she is coming over for pressies and cake might take her out for awhile weather permitting, but i havent got a clue where?

Went to tate britain & National Gallery yesterday with DH on our "kidfree day" - and had lovely lunch in a cafe around the corner from the Tate. I do love a cafe rather than those posh sandwich bars that charge arm & leg!!! what an old sting I must be!:D :rotfl:

jackieo - welcome back! your pre-op story is funny!:rotfl: glad youre on the mend xx

Ive decided that as I love that "Grumpy Old Women" programme that Im gonna post my "Grumpy of the day" :rotfl: hopefully it will bring a smile to your faces!

Yesterdays Grumpy: COFFEE - Why does it cost so much for a smidgeon of coffee with loads of froth?? £1.50-£2 a cup!

Todays Grumpy: GREETINGS CARDS - why do they charge a fortune for a piece of card!!??
  • Hi Ellie
I only do the unpaid overtime as there is new equipment being fitted in the print room (my office) & if I'm not there it either won't be fitted or will be fitted wrongly. I shall complain about it lots, lol.

  • Hester, I would still tell you boss that you expect some sort of compensation. if they can pay themselves OT then they can pay you, or give you time off. You're not indispensable + it is illegal for them to not compensate you in some way.

Just wondered - I've asked this on a more general thread as well, but has anyone on this thread sold those books that come free with mags (and say on the back "Not for resale") at any car boots at all ? Just wondered if it was ok.

Car full, unfortunately living room is still full of car boot stuff :(

JackieO, how wonderful to know that they only removed the boob and not the wonderful joie de vivre! I am sure that no matter what goodies they have lined up for you that the worst is now over and if you can manage to persuade yourself to take things easy and just do a very little more every day you will be back to yourself in no time. You have been missed so much while you have been MIA.
