These things take time.....

  • Phew! What a week!

Work has been extremely hectic but has passed quickly. I will have to do some work this weekend to catch up but am feeling OK as it is only temporary. I have an external verifier visit from our awarding body on Monday which I have only half planned for. Just a case of updating reports and printing stuff off on Monday first thing. Student reports are also due today but I have been given an extension until Monday. Busy, busy, busy!

I loved YOGA:T for £2.50 we get a full hour and a half and the teacher is amazing. Nice to do something with Mum too.

Money wise not much has been going on, Sw@gbucks is annoying but I think I will hit the target of £5 to get the free tenner from the MSW link:money: Survey sites are very quiet. OH had another day's overtime this week which we will get at the end of Jan.

Very happy to report that my pay award has been agreed and I will be £3000 gross better off:j think that this works out at around £150 a month after deductions. Really looking forward to Jan payday:D

  • Grabbed a free £30 for depositing and paying £10 on a bingo site. Fingers crossed that it tracks as we didn't win anything despite OH being sat at the PC for over 2 hours playing various games etc. I sat and filled out a couple of surveys for £1.50 and got my daily SB total.

  • Feeling really guilty :( noticed that the cat was limping a bit and making a clicking sound when she walked on the laminate flooring and discovered 4 of her claws had ingrown and pierced her little feet pads. She is an old dear, around 17 we think (rescue cat). Thankfully my SIL is a vet's nurse and came over to sort them out. Not sure how much the vet would have charged but I would have been happy to pay it if SIL couldn't do it.

Cat has fallen out with me, big time!

  • Ah, but she's sorted now - and for nothing as well. She'll forgive you...

  • Provided that you indulged her suitably.

  • Cat seems totally fine after her ordeal, she is really starting to look old now bless her. Gave her a good brush this morning as she was looking a bit straggly. She is eating and drinking well and looks bright enough, mainly sleeps the day away.

Had a NSD today and am back to tracking my eating having gained several lbs over the holidays. I always find it difficult to get back on track in Jan. Made a large pan of broccoli soup as I had a full head that was starting to go funny so whizzed it up with a potato, onion and a pint of veg stock. Should see me for at least 3 days worth of lunches.

I have signed up for the saving £12K challenge and am off to a decent start now that the sign up bonus from the banks have paid out and OH overtime payments. Debt will be gone in the next 2 months for sure (unless disaster occurs) which means I can really knuckle down to some serious savings.

No Council tax or water rates in Feb & March and OH has been asked to work 1 extra day per week until the end of Feb.

Surveys are ticking along nicely and I have withdrawn £50.45 from PA towards Christmas 2016 as I am aiming to have a "free" Christmas if at all possible from survey sites and selling stuff.

Got out for a 4 mile walk today so health goals are back in full swing.
