I used to bank with Yorkshire as well - my mam always spoke very highly of them, so when I went onto my dmp I went to them. She likes them because they are an old fashioned bank - even now they're way behind the times. I binned them off for fd last year and have never looked back. Not giving up

Just popping in to see how you're doing, wondered if you'd managed to bash YB into submission an got online yet. Can be frustrating as you need to be online to set up DD's and regular payments etc, that can't be done from the app.
Have a lovely weekend.

After 3 activation codes being sent and 3 attempts to enter this only to get to the final page after entering security questions to be told that this service is unavailable at this time  Still no further forward. OH will have to ring the helpline again this weekend at a time when we have an hour to waste as the helpline has lengthy wait times.
Cannot wait to get the money and switch back to H@lifax OH might be able to get the reward for switching back again:money:"These things take time but I know that I'm the most inept that ever stepped"0 -

Weekend roundup time
I had a fall on Friday (nothing broken but some nasty bruising and a cut hand) which sort of scuppered some plans for the weekend and I had a bit of a pity party for myself on Sat night but it was short lived thankfully.
Christmas shopping is done:j just waiting for 1 parcel to arrive.
YNAB I think that I am getting the hang of it now that my head is around how it actually works. I still have another 26 days trail and I shall keep trying to win a free copy by signing into the webinars.
In light of me feeling sorry for myself as OH and I spend quite a lot of time on our own I have organised the following:
Starting Yoga classes next week (was going to start this week but am still bruised and sore)
Organised a lunch out with my best friend
Organised a day at a Christmas market with Mum on Sat including lunch out courtesy of MrT vouchers
Planned 2 nights out with OH and DS1 and DS2. One to see a tribute band and one for a meal out. We will probably see the new Star Wars film over Christmas too.
Planned a party on 23rd which we do every year but was considering not bothering. I WILL be bothering as we always have a fab night.
Have text another good friend to have a coffee or lunch but am waiting to hear.
I know that all of these things cost money but I need to be around people, especially my family and close friends.
Both bank switches have now gone ahead and I am waiting for the proceeds, Quidco paid out eventually which has paid for the last of the Xmas shopping.
Aiming for a week of NSD at work, I don't need fuel this week either so might tweak the budget to put some extra in the entertainment pot."These things take time but I know that I'm the most inept that ever stepped"0 -
Sent £195 to S@ntander CC to bring it to £1300 I think that will be it for this year which leaves me 3 months before the 0% deal ends in March to clear it. Aiming for a Jan payment of £400 followed by 2 payments of £450 in the months without Council Tax payments.
OH has been offered an extra 4 days work leading up to Christmas which will be a good boost to December pay followed by a January increased salary for me:)
Surveys have been quiet last couple of days. Work on the other hand has been totally crazy which is normal near the end of term. Really looking forward to next week as it is a lovely week leading up to the holidays with plenty of festivities going on and most of my learners are in exams.
YNAB is working out great so I am crossing everything for a free copy."These things take time but I know that I'm the most inept that ever stepped"0 -
I have had a hectic few weeks but broke up from work on Friday:j
Saturday and Sunday have been spent catching up with friends, going to see a band and the new SW film (which I wasn't very impressed with).
DS1 is now home :A and DS2 will be home tonight for our annual Christmas Eve, Eve party.
Developed a steaming head cold on Monday so have spent the last couple of days resting when I can and drinking gallons of honey, lemon with cinnamon. I am feeling much better today thankfully. Lots to get on with today
Moneywise I am still within my planned budget with the exception of the food and going/eating out category as I had forgotten about 2 planned gatherings. Nevertheless I have not lost the plot unlike previous months and feel firmly in control. Still no sign of the banking bonus monies."These things take time but I know that I'm the most inept that ever stepped"0 -
Enjoy the party.
