Thank you for the kind and supportive comments. I am feeling slightly better about things tonight and have started to think about some work tasks that I can face doing before going back to work next week. My Director rang me at home again today and assured me that when (if) I return on Monday I will have all the extra duties taken from me and given to someone else."These things take time but I know that I'm the most inept that ever stepped"0

Time for an update. The last time I posted I was intending to return to work on the Monday which I did. HUGE mistake! To cut a long story short I ended up in floods of tears and was sent home again. That was 3 weeks ago and I can now clearly see that I was suffering with anxiety and needed as my DS1 put it 'to hit the reset button'. I have to say that work have been extremely supportive and I now feel well enough to return to work after Half term on a phased return. (trying not to focus on how they should have been more supportive before I crashed and burned).
It has taken me a full month to recover, I didn't even take that long of work when I had my children!
I have had some support from family and friends but I have really felt like I just needed time on my own until this past week when OH and I have had a nice weekend away and I have started to face going out and about and am starting to miss work.
As far as goals go I just want to focus on the positives of returning to work and keeping myself healthy both physically and mentally. I have been walking, doing yoga and completing mindfulness exercises, even bought a jigsaw puzzle but drew the line at the adult colouring in book that was recommended.:o
Money wise we haven't really spent much apart from the weekend away which cost around £300 in total including accommodation, fuel, food and drink (slightly hungover on Saturday:eek:).
After catching up on Crazy Cat Lady's thread I can see the benefit of posting on here every day too as a form of therapy and mindfulness. Overall things are positive and I am looking forward to November and December."These things take time but I know that I'm the most inept that ever stepped"0 -
Hey
So pleased to hear that you're feeling better and ready to return to work. I had 6 weeks off once, due to burnout - and I was gobsmacked that the doctor wouldn't sign me fit after a fortnight. It was only once I felt better that I realised how bad I'd been. I think that's quite usual with stress/anxiety etc. My dh still insists that he's fine and isn't 'that ill'.
As you have seen on my diary I just rant and rave and get it all out - does me the world of good, and I've only ever had support and no judgement at all. Good luck with heading back to work xxxNot giving up
