Hi ICC
The app I use is the Headspace one. I have just been doing the 10 day starter ones as they are enough for me right now. Might ask for a subscription for a present if I persevere. I also have a CD from the m1ndfulness for dummies book which I haven't listened to yet but have been impressed with the book.
I have decided to give Mum the cosmetic bag with products and the facemask and I shall keep the makeup and cleanser which should last me for over a year."These things take time but I know that I'm the most inept that ever stepped"0 -

Thanks Beanie :A
The party was great, it was lovely to see all my brothers together with their children and my Mam was in her element. Missed my two boys though:( They are both having parties with friends and are probably in a sorry state today:rotfl:"These things take time but I know that I'm the most inept that ever stepped"0 -
Having a ride into town today for a free lunch at Bell@ Itali@ courtesy of MrT vouchers
We both only ever have water with meals in there as the drinks are so expensive but we will have to pay for parking £1.40. While there I need to do a top up shop at @ldi which I have a list for and should come under budget for this week.
In an attempt to avoid stress around Christmas I have been buying bits here and there from my Quidc0 payments and have currently managed to buy everything so far from this pot. Today I bought another lovely gift for my Dad and GF who live in Scotland which is the Countryfile Children in need Calendar for £9.50. Its totally lovely and £4 goes to CIN, another present sorted.
I only ever buy people one thing to open (with the exception of the boys and my Mum) as I found all the extra bits add up and are they really appreciated or remembered? I also do not buy personalised Xmas cards but choose a really nice pack of charity cards and use those instead.
Along with the Clinique freebies (worth over £50) I will buy Mum something for around £10 and that is her sorted. Maybe a nice scarf or some leather gloves?
Surveys are clocking up nicely with almost £30 in PA and only 200 points from a £10 on !-say."These things take time but I know that I'm the most inept that ever stepped"0 -
Celebrating a No spend day today:j Needed coffee but I found some packets that I brought home from a hotel room, I knew they would come in handy one day.
Budget for week looking pretty OK, OH needs fuel but apart from that we should last until Friday without buying anything else.
DS2 has had his returned deposit confirmed so I am looking forward to receiving £200 sometime this month and I have also finally put in my mileage claim and car parking which should be around £140 paid onto 30th November pay. Nice little bonus for Christmas.
Work has been OK, I felt a bit stressy today but I was team teaching with someone who I had only just met and while she was lovely I felt a little strange and had to leave the classroom after 2 hours and leave her to it. I guess I am still recovering but feel better being back to work than not so shall accept my feelings rather than trying to make sense of them. Only 2 more days to go but they are long ones as I have evening classes.
Quidco is being really slow with some of my cashback, £60 worth so I really hope that this will come through soon.
Goals for tomorrow
HEALTH
Take a healthy lunch within my WW points
Ensure that I take regular breaks and have lunch away from my desk
Drink at least 8 glasses of water
Stick to emails in work time only
WEALTH
Check free lottos
NSD for me at work (OH needs fuel)
HAPPINESS
Try to enjoy my lessons and connecting with my students again, they are all lovely.
Have a good nights sleep
Make sure that I stick to my skincare routine as this is helping me feel better if my skin looks better.
Write a manageable to do list for work and try to catch up on some duties that have been neglected while I was off sick."These things take time but I know that I'm the most inept that ever stepped"0 -

Agreed, last year I went overboard but this year I've cut right back, one decent, quality, thoughtful gift each.

Making quite good progress with the present buying. MrT had some lovely books with puppets for young children which had a price on the box of £12.99 but were on sale for £6. I chose a P Pig one and a Peter Rabbit. That is next door's grandkids taken care of. Their budget was £10 each so a saving there. I only need a small gift for my Mum which I have decided will be the new Elvis CD which is number 1 in the charts and is £9.99 in most places. All that is left now are the boys and Hubby and I am delighted that I have paid for every present so far from extra income from quidco and £bay sales:T
Splashed out on 2 Thornt0ns Advent Calendars for my boys which were £3 each. I still like to get them and I like to think that whenever they open their daily window they can think of us a little every day :A
Wood sawing and bagging is planned for this morning which will provide us with at least 2-3 weeks worth of fuel for the wood burner and keep us cosy. I had to order gas this week as it was getting very low in the bottles at a cost of £114 but should last us well into the summer months. Before we had the burner installed this would be a monthly cost:eek:
I shall think of my goals for the week this evening as realistically I do not have time to set new ones every day but should have chance to write little updates.
Hope everyone is enjoying their Sunday.:)
Edited to add that I have sent off £300 to the S@ntander CC bringing it down to £1557 and if I can find another £58 during the month then I will get it under £1500"These things take time but I know that I'm the most inept that ever stepped"0 -
