These things take time.....

Thanks INOD, I often give myself a hard time for no particular reason so I find stating my achievements no matter how small helps me a lot.
We have had a NSD having swerved OH suggestion of going out for tea. I have a lovely salmon fillet defrosting and shall have that with some new pots, broccoli and carrots. OH has a BBQ noodle thing in the fridge that he quite fancies.
All meals for next week are planned so the £4 left in my purse until Friday should remain intact as I do no think we need anything at all. OH is very good at thinking of things that we 'need' during the week though:o I think that I will have a chat with him about sticking to our budget but he finds it difficult to understand when he knows that we are both earning a half decent income and doesn't seem to get the same buzz that I do of having NSD, I think he sees it as depriving ourselves.
Today we have brought back 20 bags of wood from pallets which should easily last us the rest of the month, next week we plan to do the same so that we have enough wood for December. I will also try to save on gas by only washing up once a day and stick to showers I will have a treat of a soak in the bath on a Sunday before my working week.
Monthly goals to follow."These things take time but I know that I'm the most inept that ever stepped"0 -

Hmm is there anything you would both like to save for? A holiday of a lifetime or a house extension something like that? Could you then say that for every NSD a nominal sum (say £5) could be transferred to a savings account for that purpose?Must use my stash up!0 -

Hmmm......we are planning a nice holiday next year and in 2017 a big holiday with our boys to USA. Maybe I can do a holiday display on the fridge to help us stay focused.
We will also need to replace our 2nd car in around 3 years time and are thinking about doing some home improvements.........Actually I think I need a second job:eek::rotfl:"These things take time but I know that I'm the most inept that ever stepped"0 -

If you use the need of these things to get hubby on board with the NSD's you may not need a second job at all! :rotfl:

Here are my goals for the week. I shall review them during the week when and if I have time.
HEALTH
Eat healthily every day by taking in my own lunches and dinners on late nights Wed & Thurs, this gives me energy and helps me feel less guilty of any naughty stuff at the weekend.
Attend my first counselling session on Tuesday. Not sure what I will make of this but will keep an open mind.
Do some form of activity every day, even if it is just a Yoga stretch at the end of the day.
Drink more water!!!
WEALTH
Have all days at work as NSD (Mon-Thurs) I must remember that the odd coffee adds up at 70p a cup.
Switch OH bank account to get our hands on the £150 switch reward, this won't come in time for Christmas but will help with debt repayment or savings
Clean up DS2 bike and place on Gumtree for selling.
Find out if there is a indoor car boot fair as we still have loads of stuff to flog
HAPPINESS
Make arrangements to see DS2 next weekend
SKYPE DS1
Be kind to myself with work tasks, I need to remember that I am still recovering and am not firing on all cylinders yet. Tomorrow I will focus on planning and organising exams.
Collect 2 presents from Asd@ which are waiting to be picked up and buy Mum's CD.
Order OH a nice card online for his Birthday this month."These things take time but I know that I'm the most inept that ever stepped"0 -

Spent £5 on a NUS card which will pay for itself over the course of the year. Work was OK, I just stuck to my to do list and made good progress and have not checked emails out of work time.
I have traded in some old text books on ziffit for £9.60 which will go towards the CC
Managed to get to Asd@ to collect the 3 x Presents which means I am all done apart from the boys and OH which I feel delighted about and I can get on with wrapping this weekend.
NSD and I managed to up my intake of water. Off to do some Yoga stretches and I also took the stairs up the 5 flights today and have eaten healthily."These things take time but I know that I'm the most inept that ever stepped"0 -

Thanks LMD I am guilty of leaving the wrapping far too late so this year I am going to be organised!
Lunch today with be half a WW quiche (not too keen on these but it was a YS and needs using up) new potatoes and peas. I also have an apple and banana for snacks.
I have a pack of quorn mince that I will make into a chilli tonight and that will see my food for my 2 x late nights starting tomorrow.
Our flat roof has poured in water againOH has patched it up for the last 2 winters but he thinks it is now beyond repair and needs resurfacing. He is in charge of ringing around for estimates today but my best guess is £500+ as we have a second roof that is in bad repair and really needs doing. I was hoping that we could get another winter out of them and if the estimates are too high then we will have to try and patch it again but the trouble is OH cannot see where the leak is getting in and he says the roof is more patches than original roof!
If the wind dies down a bit we should be able to get out for a walk when I get in from work at 4.30pm as this really helps to lift my mood."These things take time but I know that I'm the most inept that ever stepped"0
