3 nights teaching until 9pm = FRIDAY OFF:j
Can't tell you how lovely it was to wake up to daylight with no alarm going off. Lovely bright and sunny day here so had a little wander around the garden in my PJ's and dressing gown, said hello to next door's cat and the ponies in the field. Working long hours Mon-Thurs is totally made up by a 3 day weekend. I have a couple of urgent tasks to do for work this morning that simply cannot wait until Monday, only a couple of emails and some paperwork.
Sold another item on £bay, its a cup and saucer trio set and have just realised I have no packing materials. Will have a look in DS1 bedroom as he used to sell stuff so might have something suitable for packaging.
Nothing much going on money making wise apart from the odd £bay BIN item and surveys. Plodding on in the right direction though.
Almost pay day and I still have some money in my account which I have decided to use this weekend on a nice lunch out with OH and a night out with my friend.
Goals for today:
HEALTH
Get out for a long walk, it's beautiful out there today so need to make the most of days like this. Might have a ride to the coast.
WEALTH
Post £bay parcel
Check lotto and surveys
List another 4 items
Check banking and move some money into savings
Check B@rclays account as I have a feeling there is a couple of £ in there I have forgotten about
Chase up DS2 regarding house deposit
HAPPINESS
Appreciate every second of my 3 day weekend, I am lucky to have the flexibility in my job to do this.
Spend some quality time with OH as he is feeling a bit neglected, it cant be much fun sitting waiting for your wife to return home at 9.45pm only to see a zombie walk through the door.
Speak to both of my boys:A"These things take time but I know that I'm the most inept that ever stepped"0 -
Enjoy your 3 day weekend - I confess to being jealous. Not giving up
Working hard to pay off my debt
Time to take back control

Thanks CCL, it does feel like a long hard slog during the week but the positives outweigh the negatives.
Slept until 9am:eek: unheard of for me but by body definitely needed it and I feel well rested. Still need to post the BIN item and get some food shopping in. Last week I wasn't as organised as I would have liked to be so ran out of food at work a couple of days and ended up in the canteen spending £7.20 over the course of the week.
Looking forward to a catch up in the town with my bezzy bud with a bottle of wine, picking her up at 5pm with taxi booked for 9pm (lightweights) so I shall be home and in my PJ's for 9.30pm.
I checked the B@rclays account and I was right, there is £1.92 in there:D I will be using this pretty much dormant account to transfer my extra money making proceeds in readiness for Christmas spending. £uidco has £75 now waiting to be withdrawn with the rest waiting to be confirmed but all say that this will be October in their status reports.
Goals for today:
HEALTH
Eat healthily
Be careful with what I drink tonight (cannot handle hangovers)
Drink lots of water today as my skin feels really dry
WEALTH
Check lotto and surveys
Post £bay parcel
Stick to my shopping list
Persuade friend to have our wine in We@therspoons as its only £8 a bottle between us as opposed to £15 in the bar next door:D
HAPPINESS
Speak to DS1 on Skype
Enjoy my time with my friend
Do not even THINK about work today
Cook a nice late lunch for OH and I (he is feeling a little down today as his face has broken out all patchy, looks like an allergy to me)
Hope everyone is enjoying their weekend."These things take time but I know that I'm the most inept that ever stepped"0 -

Since my last post I have fallen ill and have had to throw in the towel and take some time away from work. Things came to a head last week when I felt so overwhelmed that I started to feel really poorly. On Thursday I really do not know how I got through the day until 9pm. I spent the weekend trying to feel better but whenever I thought about work I started to feel sick and dizzy and had a blinding headache.
After taking the advice of my manager to work from home yesterday I tried to get a little caught up but realised that it was impossible as I am currently carrying out 2 peoples jobs (well maybe 1 and a half people) and decided to ring up and speak to my director. He was very sympathetic and said that things will be sorted and he delivered on his promise and rang me back with a action plan to be effective immediately.
I still feel poorly but can see a way forward. I am taking the rest of the week off to recover and hopefully I can return to work next week feeling like I can actually cope.
Today I will be looking at money things and maybe starting my Christmas list."These things take time but I know that I'm the most inept that ever stepped"0 -

Really sorry to hear you're not well, although it sounds like your employer is really understanding and supportive of you.
Hope you're feeling better real soon!

Get better soon. And don't panic if you're not ready to go back next week. I think it's sometimes hard to see how ill you are until you're through it and on the other side. Take the advice of others and take things easy. Do something nice for yourself. xNot giving up
