  • Thanks for the encouragement :)

Another aim that I have is to start a savings pot as I am concerned that OH job may not be as secure as we thought so should the worst happen I would like to build up 6 months of his salary to give him time to find something else. He works part time but still brings home around £1050 a month so that is a saving's target of £6300:eek:

Best hurry up and get the debt cleared first:rotfl:

DS2 Student loan schedule has come through and I have calculated that after accommodation costs, bills and insurance he will be left with £30 a week. No wonder he has been struggling poor lad. Anyway, we have plan where he is going to transfer the full lot to my account and I will send him £30 a week. Plus he will have his wages which will really boost things for him.

Waiting to hear about his deposit from previous property as I am due to receive this seeing as though I paid it in the first place:cool:

    Goals for today:

    HEALTH
    Eat lots of fruit
    Get some form of exercise

    WEALTH
Get those things on £bay that I didn't get listed yesterday
Already checked lotto and surveys (did a £1 for PA)
Collect pallet wood from factory (chop it up and bag it with OH)

    HAPPINESS
    Clear some urgent work emails
Make a to-do list for tomorrow
Get all washing done ready for next week

We had a lovely few hours out yesterday and had a cheap lunch £5.95 each in an Asian restaurant. Very nice for the price.

  • Thanks for the lovely pic Beanie, it did cheer me up.

Very restless night tossing and turning with mind racing. Hate nights like that, however I don't feel too sleep deprived and I should be able to leave work at s reasonable time tonight as my last appointment is 3pm and I shall come straight home afterwards.

After a very stern email from myself I have been provided with an extra member of staff today to help get through the sheer volume of work that is needed to be done before next week and as they have decided to cut my week down to 2 days (same thing last week) by sending me off to Europe again they can't expect me to do the same volume of work in the office without some assistance. Not whining just realistic.

Had a No spend day yesterday and listed another 5 items on £bay. Aiming for another NSD today also with the exception of buying a Birthday card from the free change copper jar that DS1 left. I am counting that as free money.

    Goals for today:

    HEALTH
Take a healthy lunch and snack on fruit
Get out for a walk after work with OH
Leave work on time and do not check emails tonight.

    WEALTH
    NSD
    Check free lotto and surveys
    List another £bay item
    Update mileage claim form
Use free copper to buy Bday card

    HAPPINESS
Utilise the new member of staff efficiently by giving them work that will save me time
    Have lunch away from desk
Accept that everything does not have to be perfect
Paint my nails and wear something nice for work

I am actually feeling quite motivated this morning despite waking up to darkness for the first time, strange how the autumn creeps in so suddenly.

  • I didn't enjoy the dark start this morning. Makes it a bit more of a struggle and I'm not a morning person at the best of times.
Well done getting someone in to help you out with workload.
  • I slept like a log last night, few weird dreams but feel much better this morning. Very busy day ahead to make sure I have all of my printing done for next week when lessons start as after today I won't be in at work until Monday. Late finish too as I am covering a lesson until 7pm

Sold a BIN item for £8 and a survey for £1.50 yesterday which will go towards the Christmas fund.

In a bit of a rush so no goals for today apart from a NSD.

Quite a long update this morning so apologies in advance.

Very pleased to be back and it was officially my last trip abroad delivering training. I am not sad to see it go to be honest and am happy to step aside and let someone else do this. The training was not really part of my job role but as I am experienced in the topic it made sense (to them) to send me. Thankfully they have now recruited a full time member of staff to deliver this particular training in house and also abroad when needed and I can concentrate on my actual full time job.

I have been feeling really low recently and yesterday I just wanted to cry for most of the day despite having a lovely afternoon out with OH but today I am feeling much more positive.

Money wise I have had an inexpensive week and only spent money on some early Christmas presents which I bought on my Clar1ty CC and will pay this straight off from the Christmas fund which now stands at £198 :) I have quite a few items ending this week on £bay and have more to list. Aiming to have Christmas paid for entirely from free money from selling, surveys and my mileage claims. I just hope that Qu1dco pay out in time:cool:

DS2 seems to be managing on his own 2 feet recently and I am counting down the days to his student loan going in (28th) I can then reduce his weekly payment from £50 to £20 a week. Still no sign of the deposit money though, must check up on that.

October should be a quiet month as we have no Birthdays, gatherings or plans so I am going to do a dry October which will do me the world of good.

Goals for today will be mainly concerned with organising myself for next week. I will be working evenings again but get Friday off in return which I LOVE.

    HEALTH
Get back on track with my WW tracking as I have put on a few lbs in Denmark
Get out for a walk with OH, this makes me feel better and chases the blues away.
Go shopping and buy lots of healthy meal options (use £4 voucher for fish at MrT)

    WEALTH
Return 2 unwanted clothing items to MrT
    List remaining items on £bay
Pack up sold item ready for posting tomorrow
Use fuel points at MrT for diesel

    HAPPINESS
Speak to both of my boys today :A
Clear ironing pile and clean kitchen - DONE
Have a long soak in bath tonight
Clear some urgent tasks before tomorrow so that I feel more organised and less panicky.
"These things take time but I know that I'm the most inept that ever stepped"
  • Feeling very focussed and organised this morning after compiling a comprehensive to do list for today which I managed to make a start on yesterday. 5 weeks until half term with an Ofst3d inspection expected this term means I need to hit the ground running.

Sold another 2 BIN items and relisted an unsold one. We had a lovely family group chat on SKYPE which really made my day seeing both my boys together on the screen.

    Goals for today:

    HEALTH
Take healthy lunch to work (HM lentil soup)
Take regular breaks from my computer
    Make a healthy dinner
    Do some Yoga before bed

    WEALTH
    Check surveys/free lotto
Update mileage claim form with parking for airport
Pack 2 items to post for £bay
    Have a no spend day

    HAPPINESS
Work methodically down my to do list and finish one job before starting another
Speak to my director regarding some help for employer visits
Make a cuppa for someone who seems to be struggling in the staff room
"These things take time but I know that I'm the most inept that ever stepped"
  • Good luck for a productive day. We too are on Ofsted watch - which is just a bucket load more of stress that nobody needs...
I am also a list maker - lots on there today...
  • Love that even though you've so much on, you've noticed a colleague who needs a lift. Well done you.

  • Extremely hectic but productive day yesterday. I am setting off to work early as I meet my first class at 9am this morning and I am really looking forward to doing what I love most which is teaching in the classroom. 3 late nights this week but a reward of Friday off:) Just need to survive until Thursday.

I have parcelled the £bay sales for OH to post today and did another 2 surveys last night. They are ticking away nicely but I did notice that on PA there were 2 surveys that I was eligible for and by the time I got home from work they had disappeared! Must have to be quick off the mark with those ones.

    Goals for today:

    HEALTH
Eat a healthy lunch and dinner
Yoga Stretch before bed (this really helps my back)
    Actually EAT my lunch

    WEALTH
    Check free lotto and surveys
    Update mileage form

    HAPPINESS
Manage today well so that it goes smoothly and my new students have a good first day
Help a colleague who is struggling
    Text both of my boys
