Ive not been on here for a while as used the dreaded fb, and realise I do waste an awful lot of time on there, its fab to keep up and see photos etc but I also see it as brag book too.
Mse forums were a lifeline to me when my little ones where small as no family support or advice so I'd pop queries I would have asked family or parents for on here and always had sensible advice, I've been full time the last 2 years so fallen off mse due to lack of time but am waiting to go back to part time and long days so hope to balance the work life balance again, so hope to reconnect to my frugal ways :)

  • Today I am having mse itis and glad of it. A nice familiar place to be. The kitchen is being removed and I am in the teeny snug by it all, I never can settle when men are doing jobs here but I don`t want to be in there as I can talk too much

What a tip I am in, its amazing how doing one area can so affect several other areas. They are being careful and are very nice. I told them they can have the kitchen to re-cycle as they want. Tbh, its the same everytime I give anything away, I get nice vibes thinking that people can use my stuff

Taps fingers on chair arm now, de -um de -dum, I want to do stuff but there is nothing I can do. Going to be a long day

How about a bit of knitting or sewing or doing some research on a project of some kind?

I am waiting for youngest dd to start moving around. So far have taken out the wheelie bin. hung out two loads of washing, had tea and toast, taken plastic and glass etc to small bins in garage, loaded dishwasher and am about to tidy the kitchen.

  • Hehe, Elona I have tried and I cannot settle. It`s me mind, I am always wanting to know stuff, the men don`t mind me around fortunately. I am liking seeing how the electrics are going in and how the units come out. I have learnt what a different type of saw is and an unusual drill. I am not jabbering away, normally by now I would have had a bit of mid- morning toast. I know I could be out of the house as they are so reliable but even at my age, I continually want to know how to do things

They are very gentle, polite and pleasant men and seem to have time for me. All uplifting tbh. I have met some superb skilled workers in the past two weeks, all have been so kind and helpful. Lots of lovely helpful people in this world as I have been finding out. It`s like what you give out you get back
