I've never had a problem with Amazon. I placed quite a few orders in the run up to Christmas and opted for free delivery on all but one. The only order which suffered any delay was the one where I paid for delivery (and that was down to slow delivery by RM rather than by delays caused by Amazon).0

was it an RM or tnt amazon?0 -
Well after I wrote that post, my other DVD came."Beautiful young people are accidents of nature, But beautiful old people are works of art."

I've noticed it seems to depend on the items. More costly items are dealt with quick (and go through home del network so you get to pay for the slow rate and avoid the RM dealing with it which is a major bonus!)

thats not always the case, hdn seems to have a lot of people not happy with their delivery, normally i am not too bothered, but they claim they have attempted to deliver something today (a dvd player) to my home and i know 100% that is rubbish as i have been in all day, and no one has rang the door, left a card etc to deliver it, there seems to be a lot of complaints about them on digital spy forum and there is a thread on here as well about claims of attempted delivery that have not happened, or leaving items in certain locations etcMFW#105 - 2015 Overpaid £8095 / 2016 Overpaid £6983.24 / 2017 Overpaid £3583.12 / 2018 Overpaid £2583.12 / 2019 Overpaid £2583.12 / 2020 Overpaid £2583.12/ 2021 overpaid £1506.82 /2022 Overpaid £2975.28 / 2023 Overpaid £2677.30 / 2024 Overpaid £2173.61 Total OP since mortgage started in 2015 = £37,286.86 2025 MFW target £1700, payments to date at April 2025 - £1712.07..0 -

!
i have had this too, with an order which has just been dispatched today, the order has 9 items in it, books, cds dvd's etc only one was not in stock (one dvb) yet they decided not to send the other 8 in one parcel whilst they were waiting for the 1 dvd to come back in stock, they used to split parcels before, but they seem to have an aversion to doing this now,
also despite me emailing amazon about the service from hdnl for the dvd player on another order (which has arrived today), they have dispatched this order today and guess which courier they have instructed to deliver it! so it sounds like i will be having round 2 again in the next couple of days with hdnl!MFW#105 - 2015 Overpaid £8095 / 2016 Overpaid £6983.24 / 2017 Overpaid £3583.12 / 2018 Overpaid £2583.12 / 2019 Overpaid £2583.12 / 2020 Overpaid £2583.12/ 2021 overpaid £1506.82 /2022 Overpaid £2975.28 / 2023 Overpaid £2677.30 / 2024 Overpaid £2173.61 Total OP since mortgage started in 2015 = £37,286.86 2025 MFW target £1700, payments to date at April 2025 - £1712.07..0 -
You must have ticked the box that says "group my items into as few shipments as possible", if you do that then they'll only send you the items when the last one becomes available."Beautiful young people are accidents of nature, But beautiful old people are works of art."

i did however i have always done this and it is only in the last couple of months that they have ever waited for all of the items to be available, i have had numerous orders where i have done this and items have still been dispatched individually. (even on super saver delivery)
i know what i will be doing from now on, so i get some items quicker, i will order them in several batches, ie this lot was an order for £55, next time i have that much on order, i will order it in three or four orders (of £15 or above each so i still get the "free" delivery), therefore i will at least get some of the items sooner, and it will end up costing amazon more in the long run.
however i am seriously considering wether i will use amazon from now on, if they keep insisting on using HDNL to dispatch my packages, as i am having a real sense of de javu today, the parcel that amazon have dispatched to hdnl has allegedly been attempted to be delivered today, yet like the last parcel they sent through hdnl, there is no sign of it, and no cards that have been left,
apparently they are meant to leave a card each time they try, so why no card? or is this another blatant lie, like my experience with the delivery of the dvd player, as i know 100% on the day the dvd player was allegedly attempted to be delivered, that no one at all had tried as we were in all day!MFW#105 - 2015 Overpaid £8095 / 2016 Overpaid £6983.24 / 2017 Overpaid £3583.12 / 2018 Overpaid £2583.12 / 2019 Overpaid £2583.12 / 2020 Overpaid £2583.12/ 2021 overpaid £1506.82 /2022 Overpaid £2975.28 / 2023 Overpaid £2677.30 / 2024 Overpaid £2173.61 Total OP since mortgage started in 2015 = £37,286.86 2025 MFW target £1700, payments to date at April 2025 - £1712.07..0 -
I ordered a DVD player from Amazon 15th January and was given a delivery estimate of 18th Jan. I track the order online this morning, only to find that they alledgedly 'left at doorstep' at 1pm yesterday afternoon!
Oh no they didn't !!!
Have just spoken with customer services who don't have telephone contact with HDNL and so have sent an email of which should be responded within 24hrs, but they can't replace or refund until next week! Not happy at all!!!I may be shy, but that doesn't make me an angel0
