well there we go,2 days to deliver under supersaver
You must be one of the lucky ones.
I had to place an order with them (couldn't get some items elsewhere)
Order was placed a few days ago - just rechecked my confirmation email:
Dispatch estimate for these items: 12 Dec 2007
Delivery estimate: 18 Dec 2007 - 24 Dec 2007
^^More than 2 months to deliver a CD, a couple of books and a DVD?
(I've had a 3-piece suite made and delivered in less time lol):rotfl:
I don't know why they bother having the supersaver delivery option, it's clearly not worth the bother.:rolleyes:Cross Stitch Cafe member No. 32012 170-194 2013 195-207.Hello Kitty ballerina 208.AVA 209.OLIVIA 210.ELLA 211.CARLA 212.LOUISE 213.CHARLEY 214.Mother & Child 215.Stop Faffing Completed 2014 216.Stitchers Sampler. 217.Let Them Be Small 218.Keep Calm 219. I've never had any problems with amazon. I always use supersaver delivery if I can, and it's never been more than a couple of days. I ordered a DVD player for a present on the 30th September, it turned up on the 3rd Oct. Not bad when you consider there was a weekend in the middle.
Plus, they've been using couriers to deliver parcels during the strike, which is really handy. I'm not sure if that's been mentioned earlier in this thread, sorry if it has.Everyday I am asked to be a magician, in a world where magic does not exist.0 -

Check the availability of these items - if one of these items is not in stock, and you selected SSD, all of them will be delayed.....0 -

And to update this I finally got this Amazon order YESTERDAY! and only after kicking up a right fuss about it  Supersaver is now Superwait it would seem. One item became out of stock after I ordered it and they expected me to wait for my whole order until at least the end of January?
I'm voting with my feet on this (well mouse anyway) and will be shopping elsewhere now!0 -
I was 'fortunate' enough to win a £134 Wii on Monday. Paid there and then even splashed out on 1st class delivery. Well here I am on thursday, with a 'despatching delay' and no idea when I'll get it - if ever!
After singing their praises, I'm really dissappointed with Amazon!July Win: Nokia 58000 -
They get very slow at xmas. Was the same last year. Sometimes it seems to take them a week to dispatch in stock items, however other times it's next day.
I've noticed it seems to depend on the items. More costly items are dealt with quick (and go through home del network so you get to pay for the slow rate and avoid the RM dealing with it which is a major bonus!)
Heavy items likes books gets the same del treatment.
So, I use Play for anything low value or smaller since they quote the same and delivery at least 2 deays quicker. They also dispatch much faster.:rotfl: It's better to live 1 year as a tiger than a lifetime as a worm...but then, whoever heard of a wormskin rug!!!:rotfl:0 -

 just had a load of amazons plonked through RM from HDN for redelivery after the drivers couldnt find the addresses
TNT amazons also still get delivered via RM
FYI most amazons put into RM's system are delivered in 24-48 hours0 -
I ordered 2 CDs from Amazon (both showing 'in stock') on Friday 14th December and opted for free delivery as it said they'd be delivered before Christmas.
They arrived yesterday.

I'm going to make an about turn from my previous post/moan about Amazons super saver free delivery.
Last week I placed 3 orders for toys in their Sale, this was for a total of 13 deliveries which would be before Christmas. Well, I had bought all my Kids pressies already so I wasn't too bothered about went they would arrive. Anyway, as of today, I have recieved 11 deliveries with only 2 items outstanding but these have been dispatched and due by Parcelforce today or Monday.
I am so impressed with Amazon keeping their christmas deliveries promise! Well Done Amazon!!July Win: Nokia 58000 -
I placed an order with them on the 2nd, one item showing as available, one showing as a 1-3 week wait. Both sent on the 4th and one hasn't turned up, and that was the one that was available and the one I really wanted!
So thumbs up on one part, but thumbs down on the other."Beautiful young people are accidents of nature, But beautiful old people are works of art."
