I WILL get there!!

So sat down and had a big talk with OH last night about my debt/jobs that need doing in the house and have come to a decision...
I applied for a BT card as my MBNA card starts applying interest in June and I got declined by Virgin although it was a long shot applying to them in the first place! Got accepted by Tesco but only for £1000 when there is over 4K left on the card. Accepted it and will do the transfer when the card arrives but was worrying about how much interest I'd be paying.
OH asked if he could get a BT card and transfer my card on to it....so we applied for a barclaycard for him and he got 39 months @ 0% for 3K!! So we will be doing the transfer to that one when it arrives, leaving me with about £650 to pay off the MBNA card before June and I won't have paid them any interest - go me! Albeit with OHs help but as he said last night - we are in this for the long haul and he knows how hard I'm working to get everything paid and if he can help he wants to!
We are going to go ahead with the money transfer though. It's 0% for 12 months and we will have it paid in well under that, but it will mean we can get those bits done and not worry about it. Now we are just waiting for more quotes before I put the request in (it's only for £1200 which I know is a lot but not massive compared to my debt and I know it will be paid off, all in all a very productive few days
I keep having pangs of panic about adding to the debt, which I think will take a while to get over. I just have to keep reassuring myself. We have already saved a good chunk of money which will be added to the money transfer to pay for the work so will easily pay it off by the end of the 0%....don't know whether I'm explaining or just reassuring myself for the thousandth time! Bear with me, I will get there but will probably stress about this on here for quite a while!
In other news we are having a very quiet Valentines tomorrow - have got a bottle of Xmas prosecco in the fridge and treated ourselves to some Venison (OHs favourite meat) plus he has a tub of his favourite ice cream as a surprise and I hope I have my favourite chocolates hiding round the house somewhere.....:j PAID VERY, Barclaycard x3, Vanquis, Natwest, O/D, Tesco & MBNA x2 PAID :j LBM 24/07/15 - Original Debt: £0/31010.23 (100% paid)

Try not to panic. You sound like it's well planned and well sorted out. I know it's scary taking debt on when you're working so hard to clear it off, but it's not frivolous spending and you have a plan to pay it all back as well.
Enjoy tomorrowNot giving up

That's what I keep telling myself, then I have a momentary panic and it all goes to pot!
Well I got up to flowers, chocolates and a card. I'm more excited about the card than anything - OH hates cards, refuses to buy them but I love them - I like to keep them in a memory box and this is the first year he actually bought me a card so I'm chuffed!
I made breakfast and he has offered to make dinner so in the meantime he is changing the taps on the basin in the bathroom as they were horribly stained and leaked and I am catching up on here:j PAID VERY, Barclaycard x3, Vanquis, Natwest, O/D, Tesco & MBNA x2 PAID :j LBM 24/07/15 - Original Debt: £0/31010.23 (100% paid)

I haven't updated for a few days, not much has been going on really! I've been PADing as normal - a little too much actually as I currently have 90p in the bank until Friday but the debt figures are going down so it's all good! Realised an additional £2 PAD would take me to 25% paid on barclaycard so cheekily asked OH and he transferred me the £2 so I could hit the magic number
Just waiting for OHs BC to arrive so I can do the BT to that and then I can update all my figures.
I had a bit of a bad day at work on Monday and reacted by applying for a few jobs on Monster - the same sort of salary but a longer commute so would impact my DFD slightly. Will see what, if anything, comes back from them though.
Not much else to report until payday - which cannot come quickly enough. Mainly so I can PAD more rather than any other great need as we have plenty of food in the freezer (I need to batch cook for next weeks lunches but thank goodness the food is covered by the joint account, which is still looking fairly healthy, even after new taps and drain cleaner!):j PAID VERY, Barclaycard x3, Vanquis, Natwest, O/D, Tesco & MBNA x2 PAID :j LBM 24/07/15 - Original Debt: £0/31010.23 (100% paid)

It's payday tomorrow and I cannot wait! I'm looking forward to our night out tonight - the band is fantastic and they are a kiwi band so we don't get to see them very often (if anyone is into rockier stuff, check out Devilskin)
I had an ebay sale yesterday which covered todays PAD - nothing too exciting but enough to make a bigger PAD than I thought I'd be able to:j PAID VERY, Barclaycard x3, Vanquis, Natwest, O/D, Tesco & MBNA x2 PAID :j LBM 24/07/15 - Original Debt: £0/31010.23 (100% paid)

Had a fantastic night at the gig, and then I had an absolutely ridiculous total meltdown.
We were talking to the band after the gig and the singer mentioned that she's 14 weeks pregnant and I did my normal over-excited-ness, asking her about whether she's been sick and whether she thinks it's a boy or girl, got home and cried for 3 hours - all I kept saying to OH was everyone is pregnant. I don't even know her personally!
I think he's getting really fed up with my pregnancy news meltdowns, and to be honest so am I. I'm going to talk to the doctor about possibly having some counselling. Worth a try.
In other news, it's payday so that makes me feel a bit better.:j PAID VERY, Barclaycard x3, Vanquis, Natwest, O/D, Tesco & MBNA x2 PAID :j LBM 24/07/15 - Original Debt: £0/31010.23 (100% paid)

Should have had a lovely weekend as my grandparents were visiting, and it was lovely to see them but unfortunately my stomach decided it was not a good weekend and I've been agony with it - complete with doubling over at the dinner table during a family dinner last night and sobbing for an hour.
In other news both balance transfers are going through as we speak to will be updating my totals in a few days with new balances - it will be an increase in the meantime due to BT fees, but in the long run will save me a fair amount
Still hoping to be able to get under 16K by my birthday but with BT fees that might be an unattainable goal....must get selling!:j PAID VERY, Barclaycard x3, Vanquis, Natwest, O/D, Tesco & MBNA x2 PAID :j LBM 24/07/15 - Original Debt: £0/31010.23 (100% paid)
