It was indeed Bob, I was not best impressed with their behaviour but I'm sure they are totally unbothered.
Hope everyone had a good Christmas! We had a lovely relaxed day, bacon sandwiches and bucks fizz for breakfast, opened presents, watched some films and had Christmas dinner rather late in the day. It was great!
OH had surprised me by getting me some diamond stud earrings which are absolutely beautiful and my parents got me new boots and a dressing gown which I needed so was nice to know I didn't have to worry about buying them in the salesStarted our Christmas shopping for next year too! Went and had a mooch round the sales this afternoon and bought 3 presents for less than £16, so if we can carry on like this next christmas won't be a problem
Having a catch up on the forum this evening and trying to figure out the best broadband deal. We are currently with sky but the deal I had ran out this month and when I called to negotiate they wanted £18 more a month than I've been paying for the past year and wouldn't negotiate. I spat my dummy out and cancelled all service so I have 4 days to arrange new broadband nowhopefully will find a decent deal shortly...let me know if you have any suggestions!!

Hi Kirsty. Glad to hear you had a good Christmas and how amazing about the cooker.
I haven't been out at all over Christmas but think I might venture to my local on New Year's Eve.
Presents for next year bought already. I can't believe it. I got a good bargain from b00ts for dd on Christmas Eve. Was reduced from £65 to £26 so was really happy.
I'm surprised sky haven't called you back to try and keep your custom. They did that with me once after I spat my dummy out.
I'm looking forward to the new year and fresh starts. Might even get the new me I've been longing for.
Take care.

Hi Tink
Hope all is still going well for you
I know, buying presents in December for next Christmas is so not the old me. Well done on the bargain for DD.
Funnily enough sky have called today and asked me to consider staying with them for half price so I'm paying less than I was previously (only about £3 a month, but a saving is a saving!)
Have had a very strange day today - I've been suffering with my tummy and had a few words with OH (to be expected I think - we haven't had a minute apart in 10 days and we normally have at least 10 hours a day apart at work) so I spent 4 hoursin the bath to try and ease my tummy and to have a bit of time to myself. OH is at work for a few hours tomorrow morning so I'll try and have a bit of chill time and do some cleaning.
Going to a golf club tomorrow for NYE, so I'm super excited. Taxi costs confirmed today and is much less than I'd budgeted so will pay the extra off a CC on Friday.
Planning to spend the weekend gong through the budget and working out what overpayments I can realistically make from January onwards. Here's hoping it's enough to keep me on track for an earlier DFD than the snowball calculator is currently predicting (Dec 2018 ):j PAID VERY, Barclaycard x3, Vanquis, Natwest, O/D, Tesco & MBNA x2 PAID :j LBM 24/07/15 - Original Debt: £0/31010.23 (100% paid)

Hope you're having a great new years eve. As you can see I decided to stay in and be good.
Take care.

It was a fab night thanks Tink, although slightly spoiled by the taxis we had pre-booked not turning up to take us home, meaning we spent an hour in waiting outside in the freezing cold whilst on the phone to the taxi company (who wouldn't take responsibility, kept telling me they would get there when they got there! and hung up on me four times!)
Todays to do list includes complaining to the council about the taxi company.
I'm spending today looking at potential birthday holidays whilst trying to cure my hangover with paracetamol and tea! I really need to hoover but I can't bear the thought with the marching band that's in my head!
Hope everyone had a fab New Years Eve and is ready and raring to go for a massively debt reduced 2016!:j PAID VERY, Barclaycard x3, Vanquis, Natwest, O/D, Tesco & MBNA x2 PAID :j LBM 24/07/15 - Original Debt: £0/31010.23 (100% paid)

:Happy new year Kirsty! Hope your head is now fully recovered. I would be so frustrated with the taxi situation; you have a water-tight plan for a great night out and due to them no doubt trying to fit in extra fares, the plan falls apart:mad:

It has a bit! Although I keep imagining reducing my debt by the amount the holiday will cost and feeling guilty. I have to keep reminding myself that it's my parents present to me, not something I'm doing off my own back.
We did discuss them giving me the money for me to do with as I liked but they are not happy to see the money go on what they consider to be nothing....they have a while to go before they reach their lightbulb moment!
I was more annoyed for the other people with us (a friends parents) than me - I had a bit of a prosecco coat on so didn't really feel the cold haha.:j PAID VERY, Barclaycard x3, Vanquis, Natwest, O/D, Tesco & MBNA x2 PAID :j LBM 24/07/15 - Original Debt: £0/31010.23 (100% paid)

Hello lovely. Hope you've decided to book the holiday. You deserve a break.
Have you managed to contact the taxi company yet. That is so annoying. Luckily if I go out its only local so if I couldn't get a taxi I could walk home. No matter how much I would have drank then it was never enough to keep me warm.
I was in work yesterday so back to normal now and counting down the days to pay day already.
Take care.

I've put a complaint in to the council taxi licensing department but I doubt it will change anything, I just want them to be aware and accept responsibility so that next time they might think twice about leaving people stranded.
Thanks Tink, I'm putting off booking the holiday as my favourite place in the World is Sharm El Sheikh and because I've been so often I know a lot of locals and tend to be able to get amazing deals but don't want to book anything until they allow UK flights to start up again. I keep being told I'm mad to consider going but we went there 2 days after the bombing in 2005 and I wouldn't be put off - if anything it was more secure than ever. Also, I'm sort of of the opinion that if it's your time, it's your time (I know that sounds morbid, it's not meant to!)
I just resent the idea that people who aim to scare people might win. I'm rambling I know, but I'm still toying with going if it's at all possible. Not sure OH agrees though...
Back to work tomorrow and I am dreading it. Had a few problems over the holiday with emails and texts, not to mention that I had a work vehicle outside the house in case of emergencies and my neighbour reversed into it. The passenger door is completely caved in so he must have been going some speed! it's bent the top of the door outwards so with all the rain the inside is absolutely soaked and the insurance company won't do anything until tomorrow so that will be a fun drive to work!
I'm off to soak in a bubble bath for an hour before resigning myself to going to bed haha!:j PAID VERY, Barclaycard x3, Vanquis, Natwest, O/D, Tesco & MBNA x2 PAID :j LBM 24/07/15 - Original Debt: £0/31010.23 (100% paid)
