    Hi all!

Just popping my head in sheepishly as I didn't realise how long it had been since I had posted :o

Donut is doing well, not gaining weight very quickly as of last weds but will see in another 2 weeks how he is getting on. In the meantime we are now exclusively breastfeeding! Since last Tuesday no formula has passed his lips and I'm so proud that we persevered. We are looking at doing one formula bottle of an evening for OH to feed in a couple of weeks but want my supply to regulate first.
He is colicky though which is upsetting, he won't settle of an evening in particular and I feel helpless that I can't make him feel better.

In other news, OH has been offered and accepted a new job! Very different hours, he will now be working early mornings and finishing early afternoons. It's with the company of a family friend who is expanding his very successful business into our area. More money, less hours, less pressure and he will be out of the sales world which he hates with a passion. It will also mean that when I go back to work he will be able to pick donut up around school finish time from nursery and they will get some time to themselves until I get home from work which will be lovely for them :D
Doesn't have much of an impact on our spreadsheets as he is currently paid 4 weekly so 13 times a year and is moving back to monthly so the spreadsheets currently have a double pay in September that won't be happening. We will be better off in the long run though.

Still having British Gas issues, it's a nightmare! Hopefully will get somewhere soon with them, I'm currently monitoring readings over a 2 week period and letting them know the outcome so they can decide if they seem excessive

Your OHs job sounds good and sounds like the feeding is going well. Sorry about the colic. My DD used infacol with her DD1 as she had colic issues. Eventually she moved to lactose free milk as she was formula feeding but some babies are affected even if breastfed through dairy from mums diet.

We are on a countdown until Friday when my DD will deliver her DD2 by C Section as she then 37 weeks. She been in hospital with pre eclampsia since last Monday.

How exciting es! I bet you are all (especially your DD though!) counting down the minutes now it's so close :) sorry that she's been in hospital though, that must be difficult for her and for DGD1.

I've picked up some infacol but they said it can take 2 weeks to get into his system so I'm trying gripe water at the moment to see if that helps at all, if not we have dentinox colic drops and if they both fail will move onto infacol. A grand plan that I hope we won't need to see through to the end!

Thanks Monz - I'm pleased and so is he, although will be a huge change to his routine and will take some getting used to for him, he is NOT a morning person :rotfl:

Have made a mortgage OP taking us to a nice round number which is lovely to see, it pleases my OCD :D

I think DD tried dentinox initially before infacol and it didn't really help but it is always worth a try. Years ago gripe water was the thing we all tried so hope one of those works. It is so hard to watch them pull their little knees up to their tummys in pain. Excellent overpayment and I like round figures too. Great you still able to do the overpaying on maternity leave.

I visited DD in hospital today and she is definitely counting down days now. DGD1 seems to be coping ok with the help of facetime and we and other GPS helping out with childcare when my son in law at hospital or working. Pre eclampsia under control though and baby doing really well so just hope it is completely different to EMCS for DGD1 where my DD does not even remember the birth it was so traumatic. Would be nice not to have feeding issues she had with DGD1 either as she was so sleepy in first few days she ended up being tube fed for 10 days until she was strong enough to suck. Pregnancy is such a worry.

    Hi Kirsty :hello:
I just wanted to say a quick hello and catch up, as I've been completely awol since your donut arrived. I am amazed at your strength and determination to keep going with everything - being a mum and still being an amazing debt buster as well!

I hadn't seen you posting in a while so thought I would pop in and say Hi. I expect you are busy with your new baby and hope you are enjoying him. Life with babies can be very rewarding but also exhausting.

I expect your Dsis has also had her little girl. My DD had her DD2 on 20 April so now 6 weeks old and chilled compared to her first. Still confused between night and day though but early days.

Hope you sorted out British Gas issue.

*sneaking in and hoping no one realises how long I've been awol for :o *

I have been rubbish! For on of the very best of reasons obviously but I have barely picked my laptop up in months and I don't even regret it :o the not so great part of the reason was that I have been struggling with PND and just didn't care that much. I don't think it was unexpected, it was such a hard and upsetting first 6 weeks that I didn't know what to do with all the hormones and awful feelings but am now on medication and starting counselling soon so hopefully on the right track.

We are plodding on. Donut is still tiny but amazing  I cannot believe he will be 4 months old on Friday. My new niece was born at the end of May and is almost the same weight as donut already :) little chunk, she is lovely!

We have had some drama with pay in OHs new job and have had to fall back on a CC and to be perfectly honest when we had to do that I had a f* it moment and went a bit mad :( will sit down and work out the damage soon but between the fallback and naughtiness it is in the 4 figures

We are having a naming day for him this Sunday which I am looking forward to and my parents have booked to take us all to Egypt in September so lots to look forward to.

OHs parents and sister arrived in June and it has been going mostly well although I'm not gutted that they have gone to visit family up north for a few days, I need some space to get my sanity back together.

Very quick check in as donut is stirring but that's the basics of kirtsypoos world for now! Hope everyone is ok :D xx
