It seems I am expecting too much to be able to do regular updates, mainly because even when he is asleep I just watch him rather than being productive!

I'm just off to bed but wanted to pop in very quickly, just to keep myself on track! xx

I've just caught up on your world from November (I had a bit of time away from mse) Wow

a beautiful boy, and (almost) debt free too... amazing to read,,, huge congratulations . I hope you are being kind to yourself... I feel new mums (and pregnant women) can often be too hard on themselves

  • Congratulations Kirsty :j:j

Another AWOL time for me too but you've had your lovely baby boy while I have been gone and you were debt free. Don't worry that it has crept up as you will soon get it sorted.

I am absolutely gutted that I missed most of your pregnancy but I am so glad you managed to breast feed.

Congatulations to OH too and his new job. I'm still plodding along in mine but have another behind the scenes plans in action.

Catch up again soon, I'm going to try to post more often lol.

    Take care.

Tink xx :kisses3: for your little DS

  • I think I'm going to give up promising to post more often as I'm obviously not doing very well at it!

Plodding on, trying to ignore the fact it's payday and I am more broke than ever. Bloody SMP!

We are going on holiday a week today though (courtesy of my parents, we'd never have been able to afford to go away at this point!) with donut, my parents, my sister, her fiance and their 2 girls so it will be lovely but stressful I am sure.

Donut is weaning and is a complete gannet. We've gone from fortnightly weigh ins to him gaining 2lbs in a month. He's really starting to chunk up and we have a tooth about the break through so calpol and cuddles have played a massive part here recently...along with little sleep!

Hope everyone is well, I will try and do some more catching up while he is entertaining himself for 5 minutes (she says as the tired whining begins!) xx

  • Enjoy your holiday. Glad Donut is doing well. They grow so fast. SMP is not brilliant. My DD has been doing KIT days to boost her SMP until she goes back to work mid November. I think she has quite enjoyed going into work as has found it tough with a baby and a toddler. When do you return to work?

I feel for you with the SMP. Like enthusiasticsaver’s DD, I did KIT days which helped a bit. I was lucky that my mum was able to look after the baby though... I know that’s not always an option! Hope you have a lovely holiday x

  • Having some family childcare certainly helps as loopybecs did. I look after the baby on one day and the toddler another day (two on the same day is hard going) and DDs MIL does the same. The plan is DGD1 gets her free nursery hours in January as she is three this weekend just as baby goes into nursery so DD will only be paying for one lot of childcare fees. DDs MIL and I will continue to do one day childcare each but with both children. I am hoping by January it will be easier to have both. The cost of childcare is extortionate so if you intend having another one KP then maybe leave a three year gap.
