I agree with a 3 year gap for financial reasons! We had a 22 month gap :eek:This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0

I've done 5 KIT days so far so am allowed to do another 5 before I go back in March. I'm not really looking forward to zero pay for the final few months but I want to spend as much time with donut as possible. My mom has been having the baby whilst I work and she will be doing one day a week childcare for us once I go back to work so it's been nice for her to have the time with him too.
OHs parents came to visit and stayed for over 10 weeks...I was very much over the visiting by the time they left. They are planning to move back to the UK in a couple of years, I think seeing donut made them realise they don't want to miss out on seeing another Grandchild grow up.
We've been visiting nurseries this week and last and went to see a childminder yesterday - she's a lot more flexible than nurseries and whilst we were there she kept excusing herself to cuddle a little girl who was teething which made me feel so much better - I want him to have as much attention as possible and I feel that a childminder (well, this one anyway) will be able to give him more of a home from home feel than a nursery....only thing is she doesn't do the free hours but he wont get those for 2 years after he starts anyway so it makes sense to go with what we are most comfortable with to start.
OH has been visiting with me and giving his opinion but he seems overwhelmed when we are actually there - to be fair he is fab with donut most of the time but crying children aren't his forte :rotfl:
The plan for number 2 is to start trying when donut is 2/2.5, if it takes as long next time I don't want to leave it any longer than that but if it happens quickly it shouldn't be too much of a problem either
I'm going for a meeting on Monday with my boss to discuss my return to work and what days I want to do - I'm REALLY hoping they will agree to my plan but if they don't I'm not sure what I'll do to be honest. We can just about make it work with me doing 3 days and OH has been given news of an impending payrise which is not insignificant which will be a massive help finance wise.
His new job is going amazingly - he loves it and the company seem to love him - his boss is forever telling him what an amazing job he is doing and is coming for dinner next week so hopefully we will get an idea of when his payrise will be actioned before we go away.
Packing with a needy teething baby is not easy at all so I'm having a slight stress. I'm sure it'll all be fine in the end though. The holiday is all inclusive so we aren't really taking much spending money (good job as we don't have much anyway :rotfl:)
I think that's as much of a catch up I'll be able to do now as his lordship has had enough of tummy time and is getting irate. He's so cute that it's ok thoughxx

Hi all, I can't believe how long it has been since I was last here
Life got in the way, along with the fact that my PND got worse and worse and I tried to make up for being an incredibly miserable mother by buying all the things that they suggest would be good for babies on TV and racking up the credit cards having done SO well at paying them off _pale_
I'm back at work as of last week and I have GOT to stop burying my head in the sand. I won't pretend all is fine and dandy mentally, I am still struggling but donut is the light of my life and keeps me going.
He was 1 two weeks ago, and is now walking round being a menace :rotfl:
OHs parents are back in the country later this year for a month while they decide where to live when they move back so I'm really looking forward to sharing my house again....NOT.
I hope everyone is well, and not too disappointed in me going back to old habits that I thought I'd conquered.
I will be starting from scratch with paying off debts but it will be a few days before I can get all the figures, so please bear with me
My check ins will only really be at lunchtime whilst I'm at work as I don't seem to be able to get the time at home:j PAID VERY, Barclaycard x3, Vanquis, Natwest, O/D, Tesco & MBNA x2 PAID :j LBM 24/07/15 - Original Debt: £0/31010.23 (100% paid)
