Being a new parent is tough and coping with PND makes it harder. Hope you start to feel better soon. Congrats on new niece. These little ones don't stay small for long. Hi Kirsty
Pleased to hear that you're doing ok - I have been thinking about you and wondering if all was well. PND is a horrible thing, I got it when my dd was born, so can relate a bit. Try not to worry about the spending short term - you've had a massive life change and that can take time for things to adjust.
Lots of love xxxNot giving up

Thanks lovely MSE people! I have vowed to get back on track properly once the in laws go home. Very difficult working on an extremely limited mat leave budget when I'm feeding extra people
In the meantime, damage limitation. I ordered a dress for the ceremony that I really don't need so that has gone back today. I'm still determined to spend more time cuddling my little man than worrying about spreadsheets BUT I want to know we are on track again.
On a side note, the 4 month sleep regression is not fun!! I'm off to try and get him back to sleep...for the 55th time or so it feels like. Good job I love the sleepy snuggles! xx:j PAID VERY, Barclaycard x3, Vanquis, Natwest, O/D, Tesco & MBNA x2 PAID :j LBM 24/07/15 - Original Debt: £0/31010.23 (100% paid)

Ah yes I remember the 4 month sleep regression with my DGD1 and the hourly wake ups. DGD2 should hit it in about a months time. Enjoy your baby cuddles. These early months go by so quick although it may not seem like it at the time.
The spreadsheets will still be there in a few months time. Just do as you are doing and keep an eye on what you are spending. At least you don't have debt to worry about now.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Debt free Wannabe, Budgeting and Banking and Savings and Investment boards. Do you have the wonder weeks app by the way? That shows the brain development leaps babies make in their first 15 months of life. This is something we never realised when we had our DDs but it has been fascinating charting our DGDs first year and seeing that the unsettled ness that comes with each leap is then followed by new skills the baby masters. My DD and her husband like it as they then know the reasons for the extra clinginess and bad sleeping.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Debt free Wannabe, Budgeting and Banking and Savings and Investment boards. Hi Kirsty!
It's good to hear from you!
I'm sorry you've been having a tough time, but it's good that you are getting help. *Insert thumbs-up emoji*
Don't worry about the money too much - there are more important things to worry about right now. Obviously, if things go *too* mad it might not help your mental state, so as long as it's reasonable go with the flow.
Lots of love,
PB
