Just cos he was crying in the background when you called doesn't mean he had been crying the whole time between so don't torture yourself with that. Xxx

I kept telling myself that PB but OH went to collect him at 2.30 and apparently he seemed unconvinced about seeing Daddy rather than Mummy. He soon decided Daddy was better than nursery as when OH tried to put him down to put his jumper on he became hysterical. Probably worried he was being left again :(

I'm sure DS will be fine Sashy, my niece is 2 and about to start nursery for the first time. When she has visited she's been excited to go and play with new toys and new people. She's very sociable. My DS is not :rotfl:

Honeysuckle I never realised how rampant Mum guilt could be, even when I know I'm doing the right thing I second guess myself constantly.

Donut had his injections yesterday. He was still upset from nursery and refused to be parted from me on Tuesday night, so we had a rough night not sleeping, then he got jabbed 4 times not long after he woke from the last 20 minute mini nap and has had a horrific temperature and been very sad and sore. :( Poor baby. I was all for calling 111 last night when his temp got up to 39.7 and calpol only brought it down to 39 but we stripped him off and waited it out and then gave him some nurofen which brought it down to 38.1. He was brighter this morning although I was not after 2 nights of little sleep :o
He is with my Mom today and has been very clingy but better than yesterday. I am leaving slightly early to go and give him extra cuddles and some milk as he hasn't been eating or drinking well and sometimes only Mummys milk will do

I sold a couple more things on eBay yesterday but the money will be going straight to starting donuts 2-3 wardrobe as it is the right time to get the right size for this time next year in eBay bundles. I like to prep!

  • Aw, bless - it does sounds like he has been through the wars this past few days!

Try not to let the Mum Guilt get you down too much...I see an example of it at work at it's hectic running round picking them up after working only to do it all again soon afterwards.

    Big hugs! Xxx

My DS was in nursery from 10 months. The mummy guilt does get better after a while. Granted, it doesn't go away, but it will feel less overwhelming than it does now. Sending you a big hug x

    Thank you lovely MSE'ers :)

He was no better this morning, but did seem to settle quicker than last week. He refused his breakfast but he has been eating very little since his jabs (and another tooth deciding to try and make an appearance) OH collected him at 2.30 again and they are having Daddy and donut time this afternoon. I am pleased that they are having more time together since I'm back at work. One plus side. Positivity!

I am currently working on what must be the most boring and ridiculous tender known to man. I never believed you could be bored to tears but this is ridiculous.

Still not much going on £ wise until I finally get paid a proper wage for the first time in 12 months! I am very excited. Although it will mostly be going to try and replenish the house account, with very, very little left over for overpayments :(

Nearly time for me to go back to my boy so I'm going to pack up :)

I'm being rubbish again but donut has chicken pox and it is very hectic here while we try and work opposite times as he can't go to nursery. There are 30 kids from nursery our of 66 who have come down with it :( Donut is very sad, and as he hadn't really recovered properly from his injections I can't remember how lovely his actual temperament was at the moment.

I will return! Hope everyone is ok xx

Hope he's better soon Kirsty. If it's any consolation he's going to have a brilliant immune system when he gets older :p
