Weirdly it appears to have affected us and 1 other house out of the 12 that completed within the last quarter of 2016

I have some money put aside for it, but I can't work out what the bill would be when they won't agree what tariff I was on  I just hope what I've put aside is enough, I really don't want to dip into savings to pay it but what will be will be.

It's my last official full day at work today, as of Monday I am part time....except when I am needed to stay over an extra hour or 2 here and there. I will be adding any of this back in to owed holiday time if I can - anything over 1 hour counts, anything under 1 hour is not allowed to be counted

I've decided to leave the baby clothes washing etc for tomorrow and am going to terrorise my niece instead  I haven't seen her for a couple of weeks and I really notice how much she's changed then.
I'm also going to get the lowdown on my sisters wedding plans. Wedding is in November. She has bought donut a lovely suit type outfit as he will be in the wedding party. I'm actually quite excited that I will be on mat leave so will get to partake in all the prep etc. I've given up lecturing about money - I'm just letting them get on with it and will see what happens. Not my circus, not my monkeys as an old co worker used to say!

Am cracking on with OPs, slowly but surely - the way I figure it, if I can make decent OPs to both mortgage and car loan then I will be happier and more comfortable with where we are and the reduced monthly car loan payment will help with maternity leave.

I rejig the mat leave budget spreadsheet every day but I'm sure there are still savings I could make - however increased time at home will doubtless increase the energy bills so I have to be realistic xx

  • Anything over an hour?! That is ridiculous! My work used to be anything under 15 minutes wasn't counted until someone went to the union and turns out you are entitled to any time back. I would look into that. I also hate British Gas, a law unto themselves!!

I loved washing all the new baby clothes, I try and only use fairy for the baby, but used it on our bedsheets yesterday and I just love the smell!

It's silly isn't it?! I'm sure if I wanted to, I could look into the legalities of it but to be honest when I do overtime it's never under an hour so doesn't have much of an impact on me.

British Gas still haven't responded to my last complaint so got to wait for energy ombudsman now.

I've got the fairy non bio gel for baby stuff (on an amazon glitch for cheapness, obviously :money:) and I love it - still using surf for us from the Morrisons 90 wash box offer but if I can find more fairy glitches I will happily swap to that for all of us, it's a lovely smell!

Half days commencing yesterday didn't exactly go to plan as some lowlifes had cut all the phone lines into the building over the weekend (we used to have a telephone operated front gate so think they were trying to override that to rob the place) luckily we changed to a fob system with a key override a few months ago so they had no luck, but we had no emails or phones until early afternoon, and no way of contacting clients to let them know except our facebook page which is hardly booming  I managed to get out 2 hours late and then slept for over 2 hours on the sofa :o

Start hypnobirthing classes tonight so I'm sort of looking forward to that and slightly dreading it - I'm worried it will be all hippy-ish and anti drugs, which isn't what I'm after - I want to be able to control the early part of labour with breathing but then I'm open to all options!

We have guests this weekend who are coming for a weekend and it happens to coincide with my secret baby shower - all I know is that it is on Saturday, nothing else has been leaked to me. My mom is keeping very quiet! :D people rarely manage to keep surprises from me so I'm really excited about this.

My sister asked me to be bridesmaid for her over the weekend too, which was lovely and a bit unexpected. She'd made a lovely little goodies box with stuff I can have after donuts arrival - a massive hotel chocolat heart, mini bottle of prosecco with prosecco glitter and a little message in a bottle with a lovely little note saying sisters are the best friends and she couldn't imagine her wedding day without me by her side  with a little note at the end asking donut to be pageboy too. So lovely. Obviously I cried like a baby!

Am going to attempt to leave on time today so I can fit a nap in before my class, wish me luck!

Hope everyone had a lovely weekend xx

    Hi everyone!!

I'm so excited I could scream! The DD came out this morning which means EVERY PENNY of my original debt is gone!! £31010.23 paid off in 32 months :j:j:j:j:j:j

Obviously we still have the car loan, spendy CC (paid off as we use) and the NZ CC but I am beyond thrilled.

I couldn't have done any of it without the amazing support on here, both old posters and new, along with my fantastic parents who were a huge help despite them thinking I am mad. Thank you all for your wise words and kindness when I was really struggling :D

Next month I will have my dream baby in my arms, in my lovely house with no unserviceable debt and an absolute certainty that I will never get myself into that situation again. Who'd have thought when I started this diary that I would be here?!

Slightly emotional, and I won't even pretend it's all baby related :rotfl: xx
