I can't see why anyone would want to park where I keep all my loose nails and screws :o

The DVLA won't write to him. It's nothing to do with them.

They will provide you with the details of the registered keeper if you can show a good enough reason though. Then you can write to them. You need form V888 from thje DVLA and it costs £2.50

Do you have your car on the drive? Could you not park it in a position so that the other car can't get on?

Some sheets of A4 gummed paper stuck all over the glass is a bytch to shift. I doubt they would return if you did this. Especially if you tell them you are having problems with the local heavies and they obviously thought it was your car.
  • It's a civil mater so the police won't want to know and all the DVLA are interested in is if the car is taxed, SORN etc it is illegal to clamp the car as only local authorities can do that, clamping by private individuals or companies was outlawed 3 years ago and even then you needed a licence, don't do anything to damage the car or anything that could lead to damage as that would be a police mater and a criminal record for criminal damage, that said if he were to get a nail or two in his tyres it would cause him some cost and inconvenience and it would be hard to prove it was you.
I hate football and do wish people wouldn't keep talking about it like it's the most important thing in the world

Crack a few boxes of eggs on the paintwork - they're a !!!!!! to remove!

Shove a spud up the exhaust.

    Swap the number plates around.

I'm not going to do anything criminal, otherwise I'll end up with a criminal record for his civil offence.

My drive is shaped like an arc, so although it's one drive it's effectively two. I won't be permanently able to block access without getting gates, and I don't want to fork out so much money. The following sounds a lot cheaper...

I'd like to write a polite but insistent letter. Does this constitute a good enough reason? And wouldn't I have to provide evidence? I don't want to get into trouble. Do they inform the other party that you've made the request? I might prefer to write an anonymous letter, because I'm not the youngest and I'm not in the best of health, so I don't want any trouble. £2.50 I can stomach though, if it keeps him/her off my drive for good.

I think a flat tyre would be more effective.

Nice quick and easy - use a pencil or pen to poke the valve and be sure to replace the cap.

No permanent damage - just much mystery and great inconvenience.

A couple of unexplained flat tyres and they won't come back.

Why not just leave a note under the windscreen asking them to refrain from parking in your driveway? Why do people have to make so much of a drama over something which can be dealt with so easily. And why all the animosity from everyone? Anger simply begets more anger!
