Some punk keeps parking on my drive
A few months ago I noticed somebody else's car parked in my drive. They must have arrived late evening. I took down the number plate and was going to take a photo in the daylight next morning, but he/she had gone by first light. I figured he/she must have been at a party in the neighbourhood. Anyway, not the end of the world, even though it irritated me. Last night I woke to go to the toilet in the middle of the night and looked out the window. There was the same car! Nobody around, of course, so I set my alarm for six but he/she had gone by then.
What can I do? The police will just say it's a civil matter, and I have no evidence. Can I get the DVLA to write to him/her, or confiscate his tax disc or something? A friend said to buy a clamp, but that would be a lot of money for something that might not happen again. Still, I want him/her to know this is not on. It's happened twice that I know of, but perhaps more.

If it's there again block them in.0

There's no such thing as a tax disc anymore. If you manage to make contact how about offering to rent them space on your driveway? It's obviously not causing you any inconvenience so why not turn it into something positive rather than attempting to punish them?0

I used to leave to drive to work at 5.30 to miss the rush hour. Someone had parked across my driveway lip which of course is causing an obstruction. I tried pushing it out of the way but no joy. I was just considering getting some wire cutters to cut the handbrake cable when I tried my keys in the driver's door. With a bit of wiggling it opened and I pushed it out of the way leaving the driver's door open in case someone wanted to nick it. (Yes, I know it's naughty but in those days I was a naughty boy and it would have taught them a much needed lesson).“Learn from the mistakes of others. As others have said, block the idiot in.0

Get a lockable security post put in.
Your choice to keep them in or out.0 -
I don't want to block the culprit in, as then I'd end up with some unscrupulous type hammering on my door at 5 a.m. And I'm averse to investing in a gate or post or suchlike. Why should I have to fork out lots of money? Can't the DVLA at least write to him? The police won't do it, and the CAB won't have access to his details.0

Start with a note on the windscreen.
End with a jack under f/o/s wheel.0 -
It's up to you, personally i'd leave my Landcruiser outside and just drag this car off my driveway.
You're making it too easy for this bod and it's now become a pattern, as these things will if you don't nip them in the bud.0 -
How about putting something in the entrance to block entry?0

Take photo's of the car on your drive and post them around the area asking for the owner to contact you.0
