That will only tell you the registered keeper, not the driver.

But under PoFA 2012 Schedule 4 vehicle keepers can be held liable for tort (e.g. trespass).

I can't see why anyone would want to park where I keep all my loose nails and screws :o

What about those old bits of wood you've been meaning to clear out for months? Not your fault if someone runs over them on your driveway.

  • Hi,

so what happens if you do eventually get the information from DVLA about owner and where he/she lives.

Will you go round then and confront them, or just take your car round and block their drive?

I suspect the OP will start a new thread asking what to do now and then they will ignore every option given to them and get stroppy with a few people who are bored with the pointlessness of the thread.

Jesus wept, just do it. DVLA loves selling registered keeper details, they make millions from it, and as a landowner trying to trace the keeper/driver of a vehicle trespassing on your property you have more right to the information than most of the crooks they sell details to.

The worst that can happen is they say "no". You won't get prosecuted or shot for it, and nor will you be barred from trying again.

I know Bazster personally I didn't realise it was so hard for people to google "Request information about a vehicle's registered keeper from DVLA" after being told what to do and what form number.

    My bad.

Give it a rest. I posted this thread less than 48 hours ago, am in no hurry (he/she is not parked outside right now), and have had to wade through a lot of stupid suggestions and unconstructive comments such as yours to get to the two or three genuinely helpful suggestions that eventually cropped up here.

Unfortunately that's how a forum works. Everyone is allowed to put his/her two peneths worth in.

If you want to find a specific piece of information which is readily available then use a search engine!

If you're needing advice then use a forum. But at least show a little respect for the people who bother to reply.

I've been reading this thread since it started.
The OP has made numerous rude comments about the posters on this thread. Despite many people having already given him answers - multiple times!

The suggestions made about doing things to the persons car were not being made to deliberately wind up the OP, but rather to show some kind of sympathy and acknowledge that it is a very irksome issue that he's having to deal with - "we'd be angry too". I felt very sympathetic when I first read it, the idiot driver is using your property without permission which is completely unacceptable.

I have lost a bit of sympathy for the OP however.

It amazes me how many think they have a right to demand answers and information from helpful people online because they're too lazy or inept to find the information themselves. Treating those people as if it's their paid job to answer questions online. At least make some effort to be polite.

You could find help less forthcoming in the future otherwise.
