90+ replies and no one has told you what DVLA would do, because - get this - none of the respondents know the answer to that particular question. They do know how to resolve problems amicably or in some cases decidedly not amicably, but they have no insight into the bureaucratic mindset of the DVLA, so stop asking.

And tbh it seems this has occurred only twice - so why are you getting your knickers in a twist over it? Life's too short. Chill.

    The DVLA?

And what will they do about somebody parking on your drive without permission?

How about nothing apart from give you the registered keepers name and address if you have a valid reason.

90 replies and I haven't had an answer to my questions yet. Can this be construed as 'reasonable cause' and will the lack of proof be a problem? You are, of course, one of the 90 that haven't answered. Be constructive please.

Why not just fully wall your driveway in and park on the road.

Problem solved they will never park there again.

Or perhaps just dig it up.

Looks like you've replaced your original words "or sling your hook" with "please" I imagine your original post was the real you :naughty: Your questions have been answered over and again and many of them are very constructive.

Feel free to cite answers to the two questions I listed in my last post.

That will only tell you the registered keeper, not the driver.

Er... yeah. That would be a result.

I would suggest to the OP the best person to ask about DVLA form V888 is the DVLA. They are not the knights who say Nee if you phone they will answer if you can get through to the right person if not fill the form out and see what happens either they will or won't provide the information they won't bomb your house for asking.

Nor will they report you to the registered keeper.

    So.

Instead of continually asking for an answer you have been provided with just please fill out the form sign it and send it to the address at the bottom of the second page. My goodness why do you have to make this so difficult.

The DVLA will decide if your reason is good enough or not no one on this forum can tell you definitively what the answer is.

So give it a go live a little see what happens push the boundaries.

That's more than evident, but it is worth asking because you only need one informed person, insider or person with experience of such matters to come along and respond. It's not my problem uninformed people choose to answer as well.

This is the first detailed answer. That's why I keep asking. Apart from two answers that mention the V888 but don't go into any detail, all the other answers have been: 1) stupid suggestions about vigilante tactics; 2) suggestions that would involve considerable effort on my part (hours wasted every year blocking and unblocking my drive); 3) suggestions that ignore the fact that the perpetrator's car is not currently on my drive; 4) needless personal attacks. So thank you.
