Hi guys, it's been ages! Haven't budgeted properly for months
We have recently moved home and the new place is going to cost quite a bit more to run, so budgeting is more essential than ever!
Please pop me down for £250 for August, thanks!

Hi
I've just posted my final figure for July on the July thread I failed big time took my eye of the ball mid month, not writting down recipts on a daily basis just shoving them in my bag what a shock when I added them up!!!
I have put down for £250.00 this month but can I change this to £350.00 please admin then I can lower it month by month to where I want to be.
I am off work this weekend so I am going to sit down do a rough meal plan & stock take of my cupboards.
Note to self "must stay focused "

I overspent by a big chunk too Barneydee. About £80 I think (still waiting for a reciept from OH) in my case, but that's an epic fail, since we had fewer people to feed than I expected during July.

Hi there, I think I need to join this challenge as our food shopping bills are astronomical. I will ease myself in gently with a total of £500. This is for 2 adults and three teenagers who eat me out of house and home, plus one greedy labrador cross and an evil kitty. I know it seems a lot but I'm spending quite a bit more than that on shopping and that's not including takeaways
:o:o.
I will start from today and also aim to use up some of my stocks, I could feed the neighbourhood with just what's in the cupboards. I also want to run down the 2 freezers and eventually get rid of one of them. My name is dumpling and I have a problem.

Oh dear - spent £57.56/£120 on food, £7.76/£15 on toiletries/household and £6.84/£15 on cat stuff already and it's only the first.
I've also realised it's a five weekend month meaning my chances of sticking to the budget are getting slimmer...
In my defence stocks were low and we're having a dinner party tonight so got beef for a big beef and steak pie.
Saved a bit on dessert as used rhubarb from the garden to make a crumble.
I will need to be totally on the ball for the rest of the month to even come close. Lots of lentil dishes I think... hope my husband doesn't moan too much.Part time working mum | Married in 2014 | DS born 2015 & DD born 2018
