My Hermes courier is great. Card left with her personal mobile number if I'm not home. I just ring her and arrange a suitable delivery time for the both of us.
    It's someone else's fault.

I've never had a problem with My Hermes.

I've been so impressed, that I've stopped using Royal Mail, apart from things that I can post in the letter box.

I've saved myself a lot of time too - no more queuing up in the Post Office with my parcels. All my parcels are fully prepared in the comfort of my own home and I drop them off at the parcel shop - I have three that I use in various convenient locations.

Typical delivery time is 2 days, with 3 days for Northern Ireland and Scottish Islands.

Recently I sent a parcel to a neighbouring town, and that was delivered in less that 24 hours.

I get tracking, and bar one or two exceptions, all are delivered on the first attempt.

I've found the service to be excellent

Did you ask what the problem was?

Ahhhh so it required a signature! Presumably, the courier knew you were out at work if he/she has previously delivered so rather than waste time/fuel in attempting two unsuccessful deliveries, he/she decided to wait until today. Simples :)

Sorry but every time I see the threads headed Hermes I am 99 percent sure {and am normally correct} that it is going to be a moan.
It is not HERMES that are the problem {apart from believing the CV that they get from the people that courier for them} it is the COURIERS themselves. Over the many years we have been having things ordered online and delivered by many courier companies whatever one that Hermes has taken on to deliver to our address have done a great job and {to date} we have only been let down twice with goods going missing at the hub sorter when it has shown "on hub trailer" but then nothing. Both times a quick email to the company the goods were ordered from and replacements were sent. These days {due I think a good rapport with the courier} ours and other persons in my street have no problems getting our orders.
I know many may say we are lucky but as I have said I do not believe Hermes are the ones to blame and should be to some extent reflected in the thread heading.

So Hermes aren't to blame? You understand they are the courier?

No, the couriers are self employed. They're not employed by Hermes. Some also work for other courier companies alongside, and even Royal Mail ;)

Well they dont work for Royal Mail. Unless you mean Royal Mail group.
So these people simply instruct Hermes they will be taking their packages?
