What's difficult to understand? If no one is home to accept delivery tomorrow then it will be sent back. Perhaps contact the courier to let them know where they can safely leave it if you're not going to be home, assuming it's not a POD or HSIG.

    Interesting take on things.
If I told you the item hasn't been near my house yet. Would that change your supposition?

You didn't actually say that in your first post. I'd suggest you contact either the courier (if you know who he/she is) or Hermes CS to ask why it's been cfwd without delivery attempt. They will have more detail as they can check what was put on the HHT as reason for non-delivery.

That does seem a fairly glaring omission from your OP - without knowing that I assumed you were talking about the courier being frustrated.

I think I can 'guess' why its happening.
The courier isn't coming to us as we are on the other side of the city.
No doubt it will appear at some point convenient to the courier.
Or simply be returned without delivery attempt.

There doesn't seem to be a reason for non-delivery. Perhaps he can't find your address.

We are a main door address in a plain old street.

Hermes get it right sometimes. I forgot to post a birthday present to my niece and remembered on Monday morning.

I bought the postage online around 8am and dropped the parcel off at a local garage in County Durham around 9.30am on Monday.

The parcel was delivered in Kent on her birthday on Wednesday at 8.52am.

48 hour delivery for £2.78. Can't complain at that!
Here I go again on my own....
