Good to hear your bullet journal is ready to go. I am currently drawing a 'habits' log for each month...
It's great that you are ready to move on to the next stage of your life with a new home. Well done you :)

Thanks DIA. I only draw things out for one month at a time as I think I'll evolve in what I like so don't want to tie myself in. Good luck with getting yours all set up. Thanks TINK for introducing us all to these great journals. MTxx

Yesterday went pretty well. The man doing the survey arrived nice and early and was only there for 15 minutes. He took some measurements, tapped a few walls and took a few pictures. That was basically it. He was doing a mortgage survey apparently which is for the bank rather than the homebuyers. I thought it would be more thorough than that but I'm hoping the short time he was there signifies that he thought it was all fine.

I've set up YNAB now and my bullet journal is ready to start, so I'm feeling fairly organised. I've only really set up things for January as I know that my needs or wants will change and I want to be able to move with those moods.

Looking at my phone I have far too many apps, so I need to get those down to the level of apps I use. I think I'll do that this evening while I'm lounging around. Although I'm feeling so tired today I may have an early night instead. No live radio show which I'm really grateful for tonight.

Tomorrow I have a parcel to collect and I'm going to treat myself to a manicure and pedicure as the shop is across from the sorting office. I also need to pick up some shopping so if I go out early I can be home well before there's any inkling of a rush. Then I can stay home and do more sorting.

I hope everyone has lovely New Year's Eve plans and that 2017 is a wonderful year for you all, filled with much love and laughter.

I totally agree. I've been doing mine for 3 months now and it has taken that long to get a feel for what I want my bullet journal to be. And I am indebted to Tink, I really am. :)

Hey MT, belated merry christmas and happy new year! Sounds like the survey went well, the mortgage one is very basic and quick from my limited experience, in fact I know one person whose survey was a 'drive by', the person didnt even come in the house but was satisified it should be worth the money!?

Happy belated New Year all, although that breaks my rule of not saying it when January is into double figures!!!!!

My survey came back ok Jodles, but it has raised some questions for the buyers who are now apparently buy to let rather than in a rush to get into my house before they get married! 89.gif Not really sure why they needed to lie to me like that but I'm not too fussed either way as long as the sale goes through. They gave me such a detailed life story that turns out to be completely fake! That's amused me.:D

So now I have a whole stack of forms to fill in for the solicitor! I have a telephone meeting with them on Monday and have uploaded my ID documents for them so it's all moving forward. I'm really not looking forward to filling in the forms though! On the plus side, if they're looking to just rent my house out then they might want me to leave some furniture that I don't want! That will really help me out if they do.

Finances are almost back on track. YNAB is being checked and updated each day and I managed to find my M&S account key at the weekend so there's everything on there. I do need a pair of comfortable shoes for work though as my feet are in pieces with all the walking around I do. I may order those today! It's a shame YNAB no longer lets me pay for something on credit card and add it to next month's budget!!!!

It's Wednesday and I'm leaving work early tomorrow and have Friday off, so bring on the dancing ladies...

Happy Hump Day all. We've almost got this week covered!!!

  • Happy hump day MT - enjoy Friday :) - yes I agree as long as the sale goes through "the story" behind the why doesn't really matter :-)

Tink introduced me to the penny challenge at the end of last year so I have been putting my pennies away each day. It's quite nice to have something to point out the days going by too.

I've also decided to have a Free February. I have so many unspent vouchers and reward monies sitting around so I want to use those next month and try not to spend anything from my salary or savings on me. I've got lots of Tesco vouchers and Nectar points, so that can cover my shopping and I also have a large amount on Shop & Scan which will give me Amazon vouchers if I need to buy anything. I think my Boots card is pretty healthy too. I won't spend for the sake of spending them, but I will use those rather than spending funds. I'm also going to try to top this up with eBay sales if I can.

I'm off this afternoon and tomorrow! Woo Hoo!

What a strange thing to lie about?! Did theythink you would say no if it was for an investment?! Strange! Like you said as long as it goes through thats all that matters!

Hooray on finances coming together! Hope you find some comfy shoes, I have been wearing sketchers memory foam trainers, not pretty in the black but only way I can get away with trainers in work!haha. They do shoes as well!
