Hello all. I thought I could smell a lot of chocolate, but there's just wrappers and melted chocolate fingerprints here :D! I have found a stray fruit cream though, sorry Tink, I'm partial to them too. They set off the pralines nicely!!!!

I've not been working too hard at all. Just the opposite really. I've been off this week and just pottering around. I do need to ramp up the gears now though, which I'll explain shortly.

Thank you for enticing me back.

So, I mentioned before that I have put an offer in on the house I want and it's been accepted. So far she hasn't found anything.

I took this week off for viewings and now that I have a vision of a new home, I wanted to clear out as much clutter as possible and take it to the charity shops. It's incredibly difficult to clear clutter when your house needs to be presented as well as possible though so that's been lacking!

On Tuesday I had a call saying that a couple were viewing a house near me that they weren't impressed with so could they look at mine! I almost said no, but then realised how stupid that would be! They were a lovely couple, getting married in February and I got a great vibe from them both. On Wednesday the estate agent called as she wanted her brother to see it, so all clutter put back and in they came. Within 10 minutes of that viewing I had an offer for asking price! I'm really excited but trying to keep it in control until surveys etc are carried out. They need me out by the end of January, which I'm fine with as I can't move to my new house for quite some time anyway and I'd prefer to get works done on it without living there. I'll rent a room nearer to work so that I don't have that horrible commute anymore and can leave some things at my Mum's place. My bed and a hallway cabinet will go into storage as they're the only larger items I want to keep.

So by my special request I think the ladies need to be brought out for this news

Tomorrow I'm at the radio all day. They have the live carol concert in the hospital and I was asked to sit in the studio and ensure it all streams properly for the patients to listen to who can't get to where they all are. Then I have my show in the evening. I also need to find time to record 2 shows as I want a break over the Christmas and New Year period.

I'd best get on with a few things but I'll catch up on diaries shortly.

  • Congratulations MT I'm so made up for you. Next year will definitely be your year and probably a busy one too. How exciting.

Hope your full day at the radio goes well.

    Yay for the dancing ladies.

    Take care.

This Christmas period has flown by. I did manage to record a couple of shows though so have a 2 week break from there which I'm enjoying.

The survey of my house is booked in for tomorrow so I'm working from home in the morning and have the afternoon booked off. Then I'm in work again on Friday.

I'm having a very indulgent evening of catching up on diaries and I'm feeling so motivated. I've been so spendy this past month and am not acting like a person about to jump into another big debt. So now I need to change my mindset.

I have everything I need and more. I've bought some winter boots on sale and some work jumpers too. These I did need and am glad I waited until the after Christmas sales. I've also bought some kindle books using the promotional credits from not needing next day delivery.

I also have a feeling that as I go through all the things I own for packing away I'll find a lot of items I've bought and forgotten about. It'll be like a brand new discovery again. I will sell a few items but mostly I'd like to give as much as I can to charity.

My bullet journal is ready for 2017 now and I just need to go through and set up YNAB for the new year and then I'm completely organised. I can't find my M&S key so I'll report that missing and hope they send a new one through quickly. It's odd how they are so behind with online banking.

I hope everyone had a lovely Christmas and are all geared up for a great 2017.
