Popping out of lurkdom to say 'take the painkillers'. Not that I'm a pusher, I'm the sort of person who will clutch two little pills in my palm for hours rather than take them in the hope that they'll just melt through my skin and work. I appreciate that you don't want to become dependent but being very conscious of why and when you are taking them - perhaps in your diary/bullet journal - will help you be in control.
And lots of rest - the good thing about being in a hotel is you don't have to clean it or do the washing up.

Thank you for vacating lurk doom and for your input. You're all right. I need to just take them but I am like you in that I have a bit of a mental block. Staying in the hotel was so nice as I didn't have to tidy up or do the washing up after a cooked breakfast. I'll pop over and say hi on your diary. MT

Rosa you're absolutely right. I've bought some so I'll take them when I get to work. The commute is the most difficult thing for me at the moment.

There was a man on the train with his bags on a chair. Because the train was so packed he had nowhere to put them but he became a bit of a target. It is more difficult in having health issues that can't be seen and I'm not the sort of person to reveal that either.

In some ways I admire her front in not being able to afford. Maybe if I was desperate enough she would have found a bargain. I'm going to contact a new estate agent on Saturday. I'll give this one a final weekend to get an offer and then I'll move on.

Your new home plans sound exciting too. We've come so far in the time we've got to know each other here.

Today's meeting went better than expected but I think that was our last "we're still working on it" meeting otherwise we could get lynched. The journey home was so much better than yesterday. There were issues but they only slightly affected my train.

So tomorrow I need to claim my expenses. That should be fun.

I heard on the radio yesterday from the presenter that there's a Christmas high street hot drink that is rated 5/5 in an independent survey. That shop was in the station so I thought I'd try it. I'd have been better off buying a stamp that said sucker and inked that on my forehead. It was nice but not a 5/5 (caffe Nero orange spice hot chocolate) in my opinion.

Pay day today so I'll start my Christmas gift shopping. I was aiming to start a list on the train but I fell asleep instead.

No dancing ladies today as I'm on my iPad and they're still feeling a bit beaten from the bed fiasco!!!! I'll see if I can tempt them out tomorrow.

Oh bless you for putting up with such pain, definitely take the pain relief as needed, you will feel more human! That is my nursey advice for the day (Im mental health mind, so might be talking poppycock!).

You are doing so well with the increase in your work demand. Hopefully you will get the right buyer for your place as well, though if this person is happy to wait that is also a relief!

    Best wishes!

Thank you Jodles. It's nice to have so much reassurance that taking pain relief isn't seen as being too weak.

I'm still at work and desperate to leave. I did expect today to be horrendous, but it wasn't too bad at all. I do have a difficult meeting booked in tomorrow morning but I am prepared and I can't do any more than that, so I think the ladies deserve to be presented again today...

  • Hi MT. How are you feeling today? Hope the pain killers worked. I can totally sympathise with you regarding the packed trains. I've never experienced anything like that up here but it must be awful on a daily basis. Something that did make me smile was the badges that pregnant ladies wear when they are on the tube. Such a good idea.

Hope you get some good news about your property soon. That's me, you and Rosa hopefully on the move next year.

Have you got any nice plans for the weekend?

    Take care.
