I don't know if it's this cold snap this week or just that the winter, although it's been a fairly mild one overall, is just getting me down. I've felt a bit glum this week. Reading other diaries I assume there's something in the air, which is definitely not the sun! These low light days are just taking their toll on us all now!
Never a truer word said. In the absence of Spring the dancing girls will have to do :)

Well done on the great feedback at work too

Today - 9th Feb - is my "Dodged a jagged bullet" day! 121fs725372.gif I get more excited about this day than my birthday! So I think the dancing girls should have an encore .... cancan.gif

Yesterday I got home to find 3 missed parcel notes that had been thrown to the side. Possibly to keep safe, but I'd missed them. So in a panic I called the number and she's agreed to deliver the parcel today.

Drinks tonight for a colleague's birthday. I'd rather go home and sleep again, but need to make the effort. I only drink soft drinks so it won't be expensive, as long as I don't buy food on the way home!

    Happy Thursday! We're almost there!!!

It's felt pretty tough this week, but we made it through!! It's another very cold one though so lots of layers and wrappings.

Last night ended up pretty low spend. Well, I didn't actually spend anything as I was bought a lemonade and left after that as it takes me so long to get home.

Free February has been rubbish as I've been disorganised again. I keep forgetting to bring my vouchers out with me, even though I received a few more last week to remind me! This week I'll get organised and go for Modest March, which will be very welcome as I will have a few extra spends going on.

My current buyer is phoning the estate agent regularly and sounds really excited about buying my house, which is a lovely sign. He's received his mortgage in principle, so now he just needs to put the official application in. Until he does that I can't really take my house off the market so I have another viewing tomorrow. I'm sure I recognise her name, so maybe she's viewed before.

This weekend will be spent packing things away and putting some treasures up on ebay. I've been so bad at that, but I can take lots of photos before my 1pm viewing (as I can't start packing boxes if I'm showing someone around), and then after she's been I'll pack things and then when I need a break I can put things online. I think I need to start a small but steady flow of clothes and other bits to just get rid of them and help pay for the extra expenses I have coming up.

I'll need to work from home one day soon for the surveyor, so I'm going to visit the storage area near where I live and open an account there, which is why I want lots of boxes packed by then to make it worthwhile. I have 3 large bits of furniture to put in there, so I'll pack up the items in those first.

I'm hoping that as it's a single man buying my house that he'll be happy for me to give him some of the furniture I have there - the good stuff. I'll add it to the fixtures and fittings declaration and see what comes back, but I really don't want the trouble of getting my bedroom furniture downstairs and it's far too good to break up and burn.

Right, another day at work! Lots to do but most people aren't in today so should get left alone.

Happy Friday all. Have a great day.

Yay to being Wednesday and lots of lovely news around the diaries.

I'm still waiting for my buyer to get his mortgage confirmed and survey booked so until then I'm having to take yucky viewings! 2 today, although Estate Agent is sorting one for me this morning.

Valentines day was fairly uneventful, which isn't surprising. I did get a row of my favourite chocolates from a lovely colleague. Not a valentine thing as such, just an I care type thing. Was a lovely surprise.

Last night I took my trainee to the studio to record another show. He's such good company and we do have fun through the show. I've also asked to reduce my 3 hour show down to 2 hours on a friday now as it's so stressful rushing home to get there on time. Now I won't need to rush so much.

It's Wednesday and time to celebrate getting half way through the week.

    Have a lovely day.

Tink and Rosa lure you out with chocolates but I am looking through your letterbox and shouting news! news! news! I know. Not nice behaviour...
