Hello lovely ladies. I could smell chocolate but can only see wrappers and what looks like DIA fingerprints.

So, lots of news. Firstly I'm a year older than when I last updated :D

House news got a bit stressful for a while. My seller found a place they liked and put an offer on. Within 8 hours they had imploded and pulled out of the sale. Unfortunately they told me 2 days before my birthday so I felt a bit down that weekend. But - it's a lifestyle change I need, not a specific house so I've found a few more places to view, one in particular really excites me. It's been on the market for months although based on the job their estate agent is doing , I'm not surprised. They're very bad.

I had the survey done on my house last week and the surveyor told me all is good as he left. I was also going to book storage but it may cost as much to replace everything brand new as it will for storage and removal costs over the next few months. The plus side there is what I'd buy would be perfect for the new place rather than forcing something to fit. But it will be hard to get rid of things I love and bring me joy!!!

That's it really. Work is horrendously busy and I've been asked to be vice chairperson at the radio. I really want to say yes but I think it may be too much to take on. Particularly as I don't know where I'll be in a year and would feel I'd let the, down if I had to quit so soon.

I'm in a hotel tonight so I finally have time to catch up on diaries. Which diary is most likely to have spare chocolate????

Ha, ha. Guilty as charged :)

It sounds all very stressful but positive too. What a lovely development at work. Could you be vice chairperson just not now?

Like Rosa, you will soon be in your new home looking back at this experience

Well it wasn't yours was it!! DIAAAAAA share :rotfl::rotfl:

Hope you enjoyed that hotel room and a night off from packing. I, however, packed another three boxes. Mmmm why do most of my boxes say craft stuff on them :o

I just want to take this chance to thank you for all the support you have given me behind the scenes of MSE, your support has been invaluable.

Yay to the survey, boo to the storage costs. But on the other hand it does mean shopping!! MSE style of course.

Now as I don't know which chocs DIA doesn't like, I'm not leaving you any today.

    Take care.

Lots has happened since I last posted, although not much to report.

I've found a house to look at this weekend. I did see 2 others, but due to sad family news they've both put their sales on hold for now. It gives me options if the Saturday viewing doesn't pan out.

Work is the same as ever. I did promise myself late last year that I would calm down on the stress, but I've probably increased it. I've been off sick for the last few days and I think I was so run down that it made me more ill than I should have been! I'm better now, but still feeling under the weather. I really need to focus on a balance or an exit plan. This isn't good for me!

The radio needs to be put on the back a bit too as they're also trying to pile on more pressure. It seems the Chairperson and vice Chair both want to resign and I'm being heavily encouraged to take over. I feel like I'm letting people down by saying no, but I just can't do it. What with packing and sorting out a place to buy and a place to live as well as working full time with a 4 hour commute etc, it's all just getting a bit too much for me. I feel like I'm running from one place to the next without doing a very good job anywhere. I'm rubbish at balance.

However, it is a lovely day out and it's really feeling like Spring. I've also bought some multi vitamins and some strong probiotics to help me with my health issues and they do seem to be helping. Plus, it's HUMP DAY!!! Lots of great reasons for a little Wednesday dance

I hope everyone is having a happier week and feeling calm and enjoying the sunshine.

  • Hello Bestie :-)

Great idea about the Vitamins - Hope you are feeling a bit better.

Agree about the radio and hope that work isn't too stressful for you.

Wow! Wednesday again and 2 weeks since my last confession! Lots to celebrate this Wednesday.

Hello lovely Sam. How are you doing? I'll pop along to your diary shortly.

The viewings I mentioned before didn't pan out. Beautiful houses, but just not right for me. But I did view a house last Thursday and have fallen in love with it. It ticks every box, and adds a few more and it costs less than the last house that I was going for before they pulled out. The Estate Agent showed me around, and we've had some discussions on the price etc (it's not a straightforward house buy) and I'm meeting the owner on Saturday morning to thrash out final details. All very positive and I'm feeling very optimistic that this is the best decision for my life plans. I'm even preferring this choice to the last one, so it's all worked out for the better. I'm being a bit cryptic really, but once all things are definite I can reveal more on my diary.

Financially I'm just trying to keep my spends to a bare minimum, although I don't always manage to keep on top of that! Nothing bad to confess though. I also read a book that Tink sent me which she reads every new year. It's called In The Red by Alexis Hall and it's very motivating and, in some areas, enlightening based on things I could relate my own life too! So that's helping to keep me on the straight and narrow again.

Work is even busier now and I'm travelling around with work a LOT! (we joked yesterday that I don't need to buy a house as I'm mostly in hotels now). This is stressful as I'm not getting a chance to do more personal things for my house move etc. I have a radio committee meeting tonight and I'm seriously considering resigning for now. I can always go back when my life is easier but it is starting to become a chore, and I love doing the shows and never want it to be seen as such a nuisance. I may offer to record a show each week as I have the bits and pieces I need to do that at home, which I think is the best compromise I can come up with. I've just started training someone so I'll wait until he's ready to do his own show and then stop the training completely. Not good timing with others wanting to resign but I need to take care of myself, and the earlier I tell them the more time they have to make alternate arrangements.

So nothing exciting that I can yet reveal, but lots going on in the background that I can hopefully talk about soon!

I hope everyone is having a lovely week. The weather looks good again today! cancan.gif

    Hi MT,

Nice to 'see' you and of course, the dancing girls :)

Good to see you are moving ahead and have found another house. Funny how that works out. Losing out then finding something better.

I recently pulled out of being on a working party group at work. I made sure it was at an opportune time for the group then I asked and it wasn't a big deal for them and I now feel less overcommitted and no longer have a sinking feeling just thinking of it.

    Enjoy the sunshine :)

Thank you DIA. It is strange how life puts you on certain paths and then redirects you.

It's good to her you're taking care of yourself and removed that dread feeling.

Haven't we had a lot of sunshine to enjoy???
