My Journey To My Pot Of Gold

Hello lovelies. Thank you all so much for thinking of me.
I have been feeling pretty low with things, but I have used that feeling to my advantage and really taken a look at what changes I need to make and I feel like I'm making some drastic decisions that I really need to sit with a while to make sure they're not knee jerk reactions. I also started to reach out to a few real life people but that didn't work out too well so it's easier for me to just wait and find out exactly what's going on and work forward from there.
Nothing much to report elsewhere as I've not really focussed on much and I'm feeling a bit low on energy. The low on energy is purely getting used to these extra hours/extra early starts etc and I helped my Mum move over the weekend too so I'm looking forward to a nice early night.
I will catch up with diaries as soon as I can. I hope everyone is doing well.

Glad to see your post MT. We were getting worried.
It's good that you're taking your time with your thoughts and making sure you take the right path for you in the long run.
It's a shame our RL friends aren't as thoughtful as our MSE friends isn't it.
Take care hunnie.

Glad to see your post MT (have been lurking while away with carp tinternet). I hope you're recovering and looking after yourself with sleep and good food. (And if you decide you do want a knee jerk reaction, I second DIA's suggestion of running away with the office guy.)
I'm sorry to hear reactions from RL friends were not what might be hoped, and that they improve. Just a thought, are there any support groups that you could get in touch with, so you can talk to people who've been there? (A friend of mine had a serious issue unusual for her age group and has found this very helpful - she now has new friends with a shortcut to understanding what's going on as well as her old friends to support her and keep other aspects of her life more normal.)
Please post as suits you, but know that we're thinking of you.

Good to hear from you MT. Well done for mining the advantage in the situation xIf you have built castles in the air, your work should not be lost; that is where they should be. Now put the foundations under them

The support on here is so appreciated. Thank you. I honestly can't put into big enough words how grateful I am for you all on here.
A support group is a great idea. For now I'm in a bit of limbo as I haven't had a specific diagnosis yet, just worrying words really. I still don't have a date for my operation, so that's reassuring me a bit - in a strange way.
I'm out of my doldrums now. Things are what they are and I can deal with whatever happens.
My Mum's move went really well. She's all settled in now and I'll be visiting her again this weekend.
Financially I'm starting to slip. I think this is down to feeling sorry for myself and I'm trying to keep it in control but it's a constant battle. On the plus side, my next payslip is viewable and is my first full time month and I'm really happy with the extra. That's due to go up again in October, so feeling very fortunate there now.
I set up my new YNAB this morning ready to be filled in. I've jiggled my categories a bit more so hopefully it's more streamlined than it was!
Other than that, not much to report. I've not run off with the young lad yet, but he was so lovely to me when we did a show together this week that I still have this massive question mark about it all! A nice dilemma to have though! He hadn't been in for 3 weeks and I was really excited to see him again!!!
It's Friday afternoon, the sun is shining and it's a long weekend. My first bank holiday weekend in around 5 years I believe! What a way to end the week! Have a fantastic long weekend everyone! Thank you all so much, again! XX

For the heck of it, let's have some dancing:0 -
Well done on surviving the transition to F/T work. You did so well I was exhausted and shocked by how much working week there was and how little non working week!

That's right MT. You'll be just fine. And thanks for bringing out the dancing girls

Glad to hear you are feeling a bit more positive MT. Hope you are having a fab long weekend (though am bemused how anybody can bear to go back to a full week after managing on part-time - a permanent long weekend arrangement sounds like bliss to me!)
