  • MT the house is sounding fab. A good decision to take it off the market until October when the people who 'want to be in before Christmas' start house hunting. I used to know a lovely lady who when I did something smart would say, as I say to you now, (in her very posh voice) 'there are no flies on you.'

  • I found some great furniture bargains at our St Luke's Warehouse but I am still to scared to go to Ikea.
Tink, you are so good at painting couldn't you get the St Luke's furniture and paint it? Just a thought...

  • DIA I bought a drop leaf writing desk that I have nearly finished painting for all my crafty stuff and I love it. Just need to put a wash of colour on it now and I'm dreading it in case I go wrong lol.

    Hello Tink,

Thanks for checking in. I'm here and all ok. Work is so busy that I'm struggling to keep up with everything!!! Proper update shortly though.

How are you, lovely? I'll wander over to your diary shortly too.

Thanks DIA. My Nan used to have the same saying with the "no flies on you", so thank you for the smile and the memory.

I think I'll put my house back up once the decorating has been done. I plan to spend those 3 days putting little touches to the place too.

Wow - is it Wednesday again already? Well, yesterday I updated YNAB and I need to find some time to give it a bit of an analysis to keep me on track.

Yesterday I also had the nicest journey I think I've ever had! I was waiting for my underground train to arrive when a Mum pushing a pram with a young boy of around 5 years old came onto the platform. He was running down and just making all sorts of noises, mostly engine sounds! He saw me and came over to ask me where the train was and we had a small discussion about how it should be here but must be running late. He looked at his wrist, with no watch on it, and said "it's due in 10 minutes". Eventually the train arrived and he stood by me looking out the window, then he asked if he could have some of the juice I had (I blend grapes with water in the mornings and drink that on my journey). I said he shouldn't as he doesn't know what germs I have as I'm a stranger, and he said "Yes I do. You have orange germs" :D I think I fell in love at that point!!!! I bet he's a complete handful but he has such a lovely imagination and every time he talks his face is lit up with a huge smile. His Mum did look pretty exhausted though.

Financially I'm an embarrassment!!! ;) I ordered a fantastic camera yesterday with some bells and whistles to go with it. I got it for a great deal and my Mum has also given me most of the money towards it for my christmas gift as I never know what I want! So, they phoned me from New York last night, threw in a free battery and it should arrive on Monday. I'm off Monday for my decorator so very excited.

I also ordered lots of furniture online which is being delivered on Monday so I'll spend those 3 days I'm off putting homely fixtures and touches to the house so that it's ready to have photos taken Wednesday afternoon and then back properly on the market on the Thursday. I need to clear some weekends to be available for viewings now too! Yuk!

I'm having a mid life crisis and yearning for a simpler life! A life where I have time to dance and enjoy time!!!

Oh, I love 5 year olds. I don't want a 24hr one of my own but life should be organised so that everyone has a 5 year old in their lives always :)
Thanks for the dancing girls and for such a positive post :)

  • Hey MT. How did it go with the decorator yesterday? And are you drowning in flat pack still? It must be so exciting getting it all ready for the photos.

Its hump day again tomorrow, I know you have been super busy but hope the girls make an appearance tomorrow.
