My Journey To My Pot Of Gold

Hello bellevie. Lovely to see you.
He is a real gem and so thoughtful. MTxx0 -
The weekend went by in a blur again and I'm getting quite upset that I've still not found the time to get my home in order to get it back on sale. It's going on the website again this weekend and I've decided to clear the weekend to get as much as possible done.
I went to Bicester village on Saturday to meet a friend. It was great that I got some birthday present bargains for friends, but I still spent more than I should have. I get paid on Friday and I need to really put a realistic budget together to stop this happening every month.
Other than that it's still really busy at work, although I have kept a couple of evenings free to do some overtime to catch up with bits and pieces that I'm stressing about. I'm also going to phone my Dr and Bupa today to see if I can get a private referral as I'm getting stressed on health issues too as my symptoms feel like they're getting worse and I feel a bit alone with it all.
I have to start selling things again too. Even if I put up one thing a day that's still 100% more than I'm currently doing!!!
Happy New Week everyone!

Happy new week
I think that Bupa is a good idea if it will relieve some of your worry.
I have listed some things and have had some sales - Just the dreaded posting to do tomorrow now :P
Thinking of you - try not to put too much pressure on you as sounds like your doing an amazing job as always.

Thank you Sam. I've brought in my BUPA details today so will hopefully get it set up soon.
How's the listing going now? Still a bit listless???
You're a very serious money saving fan. You broke through your debt in record time. Inspirational.

Well the weekend was pretty productive. I painted the dodgy wall (dodgy as I'd missed so many bits before) and I also managed to paint the skirting boards and door frame in the living room without causing too much mess. I think it's looking much fresher but the carpet looks even more tired now. I think a nice colourful rug may be needed now to spruce it up a bit?
I've also managed to put my furniture back to how it should be in the living room and I gave the dining room a good clean. So I now need to put furniture together for that show home look. I'm going to literally throw everything into the spare box room so that every other room looks immaculate and then I have everything to organise in one small room. It looks awful, but I think if everywhere else looks great and fresh then it won't put too many people off buying the house.
I also did a 2 hour show yesterday morning which was nice as I just chose mellow songs to ease everyone into the day. Then the guy taking over from me put on some sort of trance music! It was such a shock from the calming songs I'd played straight to things like "firestarter"!!! Eek!
I desperately need to sell so many things. I'm considering doing a few boot sales on my own to get rid of as much as possible. I have a clear weekend so I'm wondering if I should just go for it. If I'm organised with my things then it should go quite well and would be a little extra money for me too.
I hope everyone has a lovely week! Can't believe how fast weekends go now I'm full time. Still not used to it, if I'm honest. Although the extra money is lovely and will be going up this month, hopefully!
Happy New Week everyone!

Hey MT! Sounds like you have done an amazing job on your house, personally one room that needs TLC would not put me off a house at all! Well done you!
Haha great clash of music it sounds like! Bet the listeners had a bit of a moment with the change over...
With regard to health stuff, do whatever it is you need to do to ensure that you are being looked after properly and that you are getting all you need!

MT, you are achieving a huge amount especially as you are transitioning back to F/T.
A car boot sale sounds like a good idea too, but don't overextend yourself. It's important to look after yourself when you health is not 100%

Hi MT
All sounding good! If you are going to put all your stuff in one room, I'd suggest putting it in boxes or covering it with dust sheets. Nobody will look inside and it will seem you're getting ready for your own move!

Hi MT. The car boot sounds like a great idea and if you are lucky you might not have too much left in the spare room. I also agree it wouldn't put me off and as Rosa said it would just look like you are being prepared.
I'm struggling with my extended week too. I'm only doing one extra day but I am so tired and not a bit well at the moment. Can't wait for payday tomorrow though. First one with extra days pay in.
