My Journey To My Pot Of Gold

i think someone mentioned earlier that I may have been off having fun with radio youngster? Sadly that wasn't the case but I did sit and listen in to his show last night which was lovely to hear a familiar and friendly voice. He was texting me during the show too so I felt like he was here with me. I have decided to give him a definite no now though. Part of my thinking process is about moving away from temporary plans and he's very much temporary. To get to where I want to be will take time and effort so I need to reduce my current time commitments.
If it's not working for me then it's working against me.
Today I've had a gloriously uneventful day. I did pop out to get some food shopping and bought a lot of fruit and veg. I'm still not able to eat much so I thought some smoothies would be good nutrition and mood boosters. Bananas are my friend this week.
A friend of mine called. She's just got back from holiday so we had a lovely chat. It was during that chat I received the offer on my house. It just isn't enough to help me buy a decent place again.
I have decided that a plan I used to talk about on here is what I really want to do. When I'm so busy at work I'm too tired to want anything, but now, after having alone time it's all fitting into place. So I'm going to start looking at really pursuing that. I don't want to do anything during the cold winter months and I need to repair my poor unhealthy system but I will use this time for research and planning.
Which brings me to Tink's Bullet Journals. I need to sit and go through a trial run so that I can figure it all out and start on my proper one. I will need all the help I can get at keeping my life organised when I get back to work.
Work needs to not be so all consuming now too. I'm not quite sure how I can do that as there's so much work that keeps coming, but I have to figure something out as it could derail my personal plans if I'm not careful.
Hasn't the day looked completely gorgeous today? I hope you have all had a chance to enjoy it.
Thank you all for being such a support. :happyhear:happyhear:happyhear

Its been a lovely day up here to MT, sun shining but it was a lot colder today.
The plan that you used to talk about, it that the one with having a property with a business attached? I would love to have my own business, a lovely craft and stationery shop, but we have one in our town and I don't think there is call for two. Not that I could afford it anyway lol.
Have you found any good recipes for healthy meals, wouldn't mind some ideas as I need to lose about a stone.

Hmmm now that is a very good point. I am thinking something similar about making things at least turn in the right direction to support future plans, even if I can't get what I want immediately.
Glad you have had a good day

That's right Tink. My plan is having a property with a business attached. It's a dream I always come back to. So I'm going through lots of research to find out the hidden things I'm not yet aware of. It's fired me up again though, more than anything else has in a very long time.
We used to have a gorgeous craft and stationery shop near me in a beautiful boutique type of area. She also sectioned off an area at the back for crafting workshops. Sadly she decided to retire and had no one to pass the business on to. I really miss visiting there.
So far I'm just eating a lot more fruit and veg but I do need to figure out a weekly meal plan.

This is beginning to feel like real life where I am always being accused of eating all the chocolate and although I protest…it is nearly always true.

I’m sorry you have had such a difficult time recently, but I’m so pleased you came back here. You have so much love and support here.
I’m wondering if an organic fruit and veggie box might be a nice treat to yourself for the time you are off to help you get back to full health. Both the leading companies have great veggie recipes online, maybe you could have some time to browse healthy recipes to use up the veggies? Just a thought…
Your plans sound so exciting. That’s what I love about this space. There is so much support and positivity. Everyone here is focused on a goal or has plans. And the chocolate is pretty good too :rotfl:If you have built castles in the air, your work should not be lost; that is where they should be. Now put the foundations under them

Ahhh DIA, I'd be very happy to share my chocolate with you.
I did use to have the Abel & Cole veg box delivered but I found it a lot more expensive than the farmer market near me so I stopped ordering.
I've just mentioned on Rosa's diary how this virtual world is such a gift.

Hey MT Im so glad the op has been and gone, look after yourself and making the most of healing time has to be a good thing! Urgh to your workload though, that sucks and is surely unrealistic long term!? Sounds awful to me!
Best of luck with the healing, will pop by soon xxxMFW2020 #115 250/3000 J-250

I'm now feeling much better with my health. I didn't realise how much pain my symptoms were causing me but now the surgery pains have almost gone I can really tell the difference.
So I started sorting some things at home. I bought myself a rechargeable drill and put together a few small bits of furniture I bought ages ago but was worried about putting them together in case I messed up. The drill helped as I used it to screw the nails in much tighter and more precise than I could have done.
I've also made a start on the room of doom. My plan is to pack the things I want to keep and throw out or charity donate the things I don't. I have so many clothes that I can sell but I think they may go to charity now. I have far too much stuff and waiting to get motivated to take the photos, write descriptions, wait for payment, package up and queue for ages in the post office to get the proof of postage just makes my feet curl - and not in a good way.
I do need to venture out at some point soon. I am moving about a lot indoors but haven't really attempted a longer walk outside and I need to get back to work on Wednesday. I feel ok about going back, just a bit worried that I'll be expected to do the hours I was doing before. I just need to be firm here.
I withdrew my counter offer on my house as I saw I was listed as "under offer". If they're interested then they know how to put a new offer in. I'm overwhelmed by the amount of stuff I have again so I just have a bit more time to work on that.
I've also received a beautiful card with some little gifts inside and it's been such a boost to my mood and has also helped remove those feelings I had about the emergency contact boxes. I feel so blessed and grateful.
I've been experimenting with the bullet journals and researching my new life. The bullet journal just looks amazing. I will be playing around with one for the next 2 months ready to jump full in for next year. I'm definitely going to need it.
Tomorrow I need to venture out and I want to get some colouring pencils for my journal tarting up so that gives me an excuse to visit the shops and have a good walk around. I'm sure I'll be fine but I need to confirm that as I'm really nervous about setting myself back.
So a productive few days for me. These 2 weeks have gone by so fast though. I need my new life to start!!!
A new fresh week. Onwards and upwards.
