Thanks Tink. It's so relaxed and lovely. I read about you reigning in your shop wander and really felt for you. Sometimes just the act of picking something up and putting it in your basket can scratch a light spendy itch, can't it?

I actually felt quite proud of myself and think I have now turned a big corner :j

Last night I met up with my Mum briefly and we went for a coffee. We also needed to change up some money into Euros for next week.

The 2 coffees cost £4.60 !!!!! I think I may need to start carrying a flask around with me!!!! Normally my Mum pays and so I can't have her wasting money like that anymore either.

By the time I got home I was feeling really tired, so I just made a quick sandwich and then scootled to bed. Which is all fine except it completely went out of my head that last night would have been an ideal opportunity to update YNAB. What is wrong with me? It's obvious that I'm not in that good habit yet! I should get some time tomorrow morning to do that.

I also have a lot to do tomorrow, so my list is:

    1. Create playlist for show. (I have no trainee tomorrow as he's on holiday so I need to make the most of it being my show again as that won't happen for quite a few weeks.)
    2. Update YNAB
    3. Shop n Scan
    4. Get nails done.
    5. Get car cleaned.
    6. Wash and change bedding.
    7. Wash everything in laundry basket.
    8. Get essential food bits in for when I'm home from holiday
    9. Buy first aid items for holiday
    10. Pack (Trousers, tops, 2 dresses, boots, shoes, onboard footware, nightwear, Maria Kondo book, Toiletries, Notepad)

It looks like a lot, but most of those are 5 minute jobs. Even YNAB should have been, but hopefully I've not created a rod for my own back by waiting until payday to do it, as that's when my accounts explode into life for a few days.

I hope you all have (or have had) an amazing day! za4.gif

I'm organised again! So YNAB should be a breeze this evening to update. I'd really like to get it up to date and September budgets figured out before I have to add salary and last working day DD's. 47b20s0.gif

I'm back on Swagbucking again, although I'm really not liking the new layout and the SB TV keeps freezing and won't play anything. Third world problems!!!! :D

I've also had an email from my shop and scan asking if they can fit a device to my TV, so I'm allowing that as these Amazon vouchers are going to come in really handy for buying gifts throughout the year and for Christmas 626gdau.gif

    You are on a roll!

I love shop and scan the vouchers build up so quickly, I used to get argos vouchers but over the past year have converted to Amazon, I just love how easy it is instant code and off you go!

I had to google YNAB as I haven't seen / heard of it until I started reading your diary, it looks really good! I'm going to try it out.

Wise words from Sam, from what I remember of the 'honeymoon' stage its such a lovely place to be in, and somehow everything around you just seems to fall into place :happyhear
Where are you going on holiday?

I love your methodical suitcase list, I try this year after year. Then I take things out, put them back add a different pair of shoes/sandals just incase they hurt/it rains/its hot/its cold. I used to be as bad with clothes but I just cant shake of the shoe thing. I hate to be uncomfortable - but most of the time I manage to survive just fine in the first pair I pull out once there:rotfl:

Thanks MT, I'm feeling a lot stronger too with the support on here.

I had to laugh at your holiday list. I always put a notepad and pen on a packing list :rotfl:

Thank you Bellevie. I've been trying to get onto this roll for a week or so now, so it's good I'm finally here! :D

You are likely to fall in love with YNAB as it's such a great resource. It seems expensive to buy, but I actually regret waiting for the new year sale they have, as I think I probably squandered a lot more money by not having it during those months.

This honeymoon stage is so beautiful. I am loving this and really trying hard to just enjoy it.:) He's become such a ray of sunshine in my life.

I have to be methodical with my suitcase list, otherwise I try to take the full contents of my house! :o

    Tink, I simply can't cope with a holiday that doesn't contain a notepad! :D
