  • Yay MT you're back. Sam beat me to it. I was guessing the call would be to the Mr3TL too. We've all done it MT.

I'm glad you had a nice holiday too. I'm still waiting to start work. Had more time off now than DD's school hols and I'm getting bored. There's only so much tidying and sorting you can do lol.

Thanks for sending Sam over to keep an eye on me. Things aren't too bad at the moment. Not right but not as many eggshells. Or it could be I've changed.

    Take care.

    I couldn't agree more! :D
  • Hello Tink, how are you doing this week?
Ahh, did Sam give me credit for her thoughtfulness? She's so lovely!
  • It's Friday! Although it's felt a bit hectic today so not really feeling the love of Friday just yet!

I had a fantastic night out with Mr 3TL last night and we went to see the Kray film (Legend, I think). No spoilers here, but I enjoyed it more than I suspect he did.

Today I have put a playlist together for my radio show and just need to print off topics to talk about.

I've updated most of YNAB - yay! I say most of because there's a huge transaction, to myself, with very little info on where it went. It's not the big CC booster, it's less than that, but still a lot of money! I'm hoping that during the rest of the day, if I leave the thought sitting at the back of my mind, I'll figure it out. I've checked all accounts and cannot find it! Frustrating! But the amount does ring a bell so I'm sure it's one of mine, just not sure where it went.

I hope everyone is having a fantastic friday!

Hold the front page - I remembered what that mystery transaction was for! So YNAB all updated and happier.

I need to work out my net worth again though to update my signature.

I've also finally bought my spends notebook, on sale in Tesco! That way I can prevent all these silly "must work out where this went" YNAB transactions.

Today I had a drive up to Norfolk. Stopped at services on the way and spent silly money on a toastie and coffee. I think a certain well known coffee company have swapped their usual mild coffee beans to really strong ones! The coffee was awful! I also bought some chocolate cornflakes which were 2 for £4.50, so felt I should get the 2!!!!! I've not opened them and have now hidden them in a cupboard in the kitchen. I don't think they've yet learned my name as they've not given me a shout yet.

Yesterday's radio show went pretty well. I had the shy trainee and he's doing much better, so I've asked him to set up a playlist for next week's show and I'm going to let him run the desk. We'll go through an hour's practice session beforehand and then I'll just be there to help with the timings and reminders. I think he's played around on a desk before, so we'll see how he goes! Eek!

I've been asked to take another trainee too. We have a guy who trains new joiners, but he generally just lets them sit in on his show and talk for a bit. He likes to work the desk. So the trainee has asked if he can swap to my slot so we're just waiting for him to come back with available start dates, and to also see how my current lad is next week. I still love that I'm asked to train new joiners.

I've also been asked to cover a show, so I'm currently going through music for that one. It'll be finding things to talk about that I'll struggle with on this particular show.

Other than that, not much to report. I did some food shopping yesterday, but also bought a takeaway on my way home as I was so hungry! That's not in the budget!!!! I've been so bad this month that it's becoming embarrassing! But I'm incredibly grateful that I can find the money for my stupid fritterings. But they slow down my journey and I need to keep that focus in mind!

Right, I'm off to finalise my playlist and chat for tomorrow. I hope everyone is having a fantastic Saturday!

    MTxx

  • Hurrah for Mr 3TL :kisses2:

and for YNAB - I've so been there with the mystery transactions, I end up finding the difference between the bank and YNAB and scrolling through for the amount as a couple of times I've had duplicate entries and got totally confuddled!

Well done you for sorting the trainees too - that's lovely. Especially helping someone who is naturally shy to do something they love but find scary.

Oh Sam, you tickled me there too, also with your comment on finding your own jokes funny, as I'm the same. Sometimes I can't get words out for laughing and then it's a total miss to the person I'm speaking to and they look at me like I've grown another head. :D

Those duplicate transactions get me a few times too Rosa, although I have found that as soon as I reconcile any account, it all gets really confused! So, I'm going to do that on payday in future and hope for the best. MTx
