I don't think you can safely assume that from Open Signal.
I think it is safer to read it as:

There is EITHER no signal on that road OR insufficient people have driven down there with Open Signal apps running on their handsets.

My thoughts exactly. Open Signal is a crowd-sourced app which relies heavily on user data. If someting is coming up as poor, the above info is pretty much bang on.

    (added to the first post)
    Bit about Tello
I don't have 4G device, my 3 SIM 3G phone have failed any (sensible) reception, unless I enable data via this network-SIM. It is issue in Multi-Sim devices, but 2g service as per 3.co.uk network is dire. Once set data connection via Tello (renamed it from 3 UK 01 to Tello, own-self, due to known feeling towards 3) everything is OK
On a positive note, support is decent and with all of the fiddling about, US (still, with some, not American, accent) based advisor called me back twice to see, as how do I get on. Seemed helpful, not rude and willing to help- Kudos!

Not bad service overal, good value and considering 3.co.uk reception seems "second best" in tests is good enough to say, that I am pleased, do recommend it, but not "over the moon".
Another... "Downside" I've ordered it, topped up etc by PayPal, it kinda wants CC... not keen yet, reading about "big rip-off" networks contracts and £1000's of pounds worth of horrors.

There's a simple reason, Three doesn't have a 2G network and they don't allow you to use the sim in a 2G phone (and second sim in a dual phone can be 2G only so not allowed). If using a dual sim phone the Three sim has to be sim 1 and 3G enabled.

The only 2G you might get is roaming onto a back up service from Orange which only carries voice and sms.

Considering its decent value still, it could be great solution IE for kids (or adults, that are clueless, signing contracts etc), whilst I needed BIG data package and use EE for main data connection...
Not a problem at all, just something to be aware for multi-SIM, (multi plan) users, got to change-switch default data connection.

and cost ways its £7 PCM for me!!!! tight me- I know :P

If you knew I don't understand why you made out there was a problem with getting 2G to work with a Three sim...

I didn't, until inquiring to (half decent) CS, fiddling with the phone and paying attention to the letter itself.
My own mistake, no complaints! as now it is clear 2G is not realistic to expect any service on actual 3.co.uk or its network "re'supliers".

    Another update or feedback perhaps.

Yes, the EE offer seemed great, however, (they where lagging and only today they've ported my number over from other network ((Fri-Tue)- minor complaint)
I use it for now as main network for data, I have to admit, that reception and speeds are great, when they are, but "CHOPPY"! Comparing to Tello or 3.co.uk previously same network and frequencies( as iDnewtork), whilst its faster, it does keep drop down completely every few moments and I end up needing to go back on page or refresh etc. Calls in poor reception areas- do come through, but not as good as my old Voda (best-nr 1) or O2(shared best nr-1) numbers or even "3" (just bearable nr-3) , in my experience, especially being in varied rural areas EE call reception, quality, ability came last...

Next about Delight... Ok, ok ok I almost had the idea what they are alike, what I got myself in to... still transfered one of my numbers over (AKA porting, PAC codes etc) Reception as for Data- either good or dies out completely as EE, calls- same as EE- unreliable; CS almost as bad as Voda or worse, but it is "side-kick" of Vectone... will give them little while longer, but honestly- do regret choosing such service provider already. Have been contacting CS, explaining issues and offers, under which I have joined them... keep on getting responses as from basement in Mumbai. IE, log in issue, do what I did before!..., still nothing... or the offer of £30 reward for joining them is only valid for the UK calls, despite in the small print nothing of the sort and £30 turns out to be 3x £10 a month and that extra £10 I've spent on top up can not be changed now, even I asked for credit, before I actually started to use this plan... ever been in Bazzar in the middle east?- its like that, just more of an ignorance. ...To sum up- "did stepped in to pile of a warm poop".

Probably the same for any network, if you did it late on Friday it would only be actioned next working day (Monday) to happen on the following working day (Tuesday).

On the landing page it says:
Move your existing number to Delight and get a treat worth £30 absolutely FREE. We’ll reward you with a bundle worth £10 every month for the next 3 months.

So, it's more like you failed to read rather than they failed to deliver...

Funnily enough I requested number transfer on Fri to EE first, Delight second.
Transfers happened- Delight Mon morning, EE Tue late afternoon.

Offer of £30... Didn't read to the letter at first, admit, my "fault" , but they say, that the offer (credit) will apply to UK calls -my real grievance! Instead of topping up £15 instantly, I topped up £10. Anw. Mentioned offer becomes of no use, as on unlimited plan it will expire...
I take it as experiment-experience, I don't need that as what is, especially as it shares EE network, but for one with one SIM it should be "a note" particular supplier is a "player" not any fairer than big networks, but having no long stinging contracts it might be worth try.
