another option are the 10gb ee sims you can buy on ebay that also come with £10 credit eg
https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/EE-4G-Mobile-Broadband-Multi-SIM-Card-With-10GB-10-Credit-Data-for-30-Days/302627844627?epid=1440916924&hash=item4676067213:g:vEcAAOSwnTdaGZ5Y
i have been using these myself a bit
the added bonus is that EE always seem to send text offers on these sims which offer you 5 days unlimited for £5 so you can make good use of the £10 credit - if you get offered 5 days unlimited twice then you end up with 10 days unlimited data & the 10gb
its needs a bit of discipline to do most of your main data usage when you have your 5 days of unlimited
up to around last autumn you could buy these sims for around £6 to £7 which was a no brainer BUT during the winter months the price doubled for some reason
not sure how these sellers get hold of these sims - possibly you have to be some sort of authorised reseller
finally the other thing i have noticed is that until a few weeks ago three had a 12 month contract offering 20GB of data for just £10 but its now been pulled - I found it via this seach engine but its not listed anymore
https://www.broadbandchoices.co.uk/mobile-broadband/deals#/?contractLengths=&data=20GB&deviceType=&giftCategories=&handsetColours=&handsets=&includeExistingCustomers=true&includeRefurbished=true&includeResellers=true&internalStorage=Any&isExclusiveDeal=&isFourG=&merchants=&minutes=Any&monthlyCost=Any&networks=&phoneCost=Any&productType=mobileBroadband&simType=Any&sortBy=Monthly%20cost&texts=Any0 -
Helpful, thanks!

It is an option, sort off
All of them measured SIM's and discipline... not very good at it, I am not!
Nice filter linky, but I've got 3 more weeks to get something more on a permanent basis (ideally 30 day roll on), for now CTRL ... hope is the mother of all....
in theory Im getting a vectone sim with 30gb in the next few days
i.e. this deal
https://www.vectonemobile.co.uk/vmbundle/subscribe/MTFAQDE1ODNAQEZTQlM=
so if I receive it I will be able to report back on that over the next few weeks eg if full 30gb can be used for tethering without restrictionfor example
I had an issue ordering the sim + plan online (it looked like the order didnt complete) but then I received a dispatch email today despite it looking like the order had failed0 -
FYI : I started using the vectone 30gb sim today (cost £7.50) (EE network) - Ive got the tethering to work - fingers crossed it keeps working for the full 30gb (read somewhere it might not)
I did have an issue initially i.e. I first put the sim in my main 4G phone (vodafone smart ultra 6) & set the APN to webuk.mundio.com (IIRC) - internet worked on phone BUT tethering didnt work
So I then tried a more basic 3G only phone (alcatel pixi 4) - also accidently i didnt set up the APN correctly i.e. the APN field got left blank as I put the address in the wrong place
However for some reason tethering is working on the alcatel phone even with the APN not set up correctly (possibly because of it ?)
this sim will be used every day for the next couple of weeks so Im going to find out what if any restrictions are in place eg what happens if you start to use a lot of data in a short amount of time such as when streaming or downloading videos
I think I read somewhere you can only get 3G with these sims not 4G so being in my 3G phone isnt slowing it down
One final note of interest is what you see when you look at your online account
When you look at your usage history you see an initial 'balance' of £300 & then usage charged against this balance at 1p per MB - so when you balance eventually reduces to zero you will have used the full 30GB0 -

checked my PAC
Certainly do NOT believe it is legally acceptable, will have to call them about it, one thing for certain- I am definitely quitting them for good
Exchanged few email's with CTRL... had a promise of SIM within 3 days.... we'll see!?0 -

Are you still within minimum term?
https://www.ofcom.org.uk/phones-telecoms-and-internet/advice-for-consumers/advice/mobile-phone-locking-and-unlocking
EE - Up to 10 calendar days - Pay monthly - After 6 months in contract
£8.99 if still within minimum contract term. No charge if outside minimum contract term.0 -

Could you explain exactly what you’re complaining about in your uploaded image, you haven’t written that post all that clearly...====0 -

I suspect the same, they haven’t read the text correctly and are complaining that the PAC has a charge.====0
