    Smarty
    Tethering allowed, Three network

overall would be OK as secondary SIM, but being Three MVNO, must be main SIM as don't have 2g support and doesn't represent greatest value for me...
Sensible none the less for somebody IE son or daughter to have as youngsters these days need load of minutes and particular even with smaller packages (£7.50) offer unlimited minutes and txt's, with 2gb data

I switched to Smarty a few months ago.

Basically, after the first month it's £5 a month for unlimited calls and messages, plus £1.25 per GByte of data.

Their pricing structure makes it seem more complicated than it really is.

Most of the time I have access to WiFi, so don't use much data now.

Advantages for me: Three is the best network in my area; MMSs are free (at least for the time being) and because of the way the tariff works it's not possible, on the basic plan, to make a call or send a text message that incurs a cost.

I used FreedomPOP for a couple of years. The free data was great. But I found calls and texts messages fiddly and unreliable.

They are very tempting in sort of clear-fair pricing and (dealings) hopefully, in a week or a couple- I'll give them a "a spin"

    ....................................................................
Freedom-pop, did try, didn't like for the same reasons at all.

    ........................................................................
Got to get few numbers to free up from existing suppliers to test new ones and their offers, might take me little while, but certainly intend to update my findings here as when I'll get something to share with. ;)

...it's just not that much about to test to suit my needs

.... Apart from CTRLmobile , (SIM ordered)

perhaps will regret not budging on a 12mths with Virgin (£20-100GB), offer ends in a week.

...Three on their own network have 12mths £20-30gb (£18 with discount) ...

Have I missed something/anything else, as in networks/mvno's, offers and deals for a big data user?
  • Will be interested to see how things pan out with Smarty mobile as this will be perfect for my wife who uses wifi 99% of the time and does not care about wifi or 4g calls.

Perhaps somebody else will advise you more on them as IE @SnowTiger said....
personally, I can only have one three network based sim per one multiSim phone, as they lack 2G service, and will be test-riding CTRLmobile.
TBH in your (hers) circumstances, if in your area three signal is good- no brainer! ;)

I didn't mention on this "revival" thread 1p Mobile
    https://www.1pmobile.com
    using EE network
    BTBztrl.jpg

    discussed here
    https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/5721906

    independently favourably reviewed here
    https://uk.trustpilot.com/review/www.1pmobile.com

has a decent credit top-up offer of £5 free (MUST top up £10 every 3 month though)
    6uvtM9u.jpg

Great value and service, but is NOT suited to my needs
even using data boost, as I am really heavy data user... :(

    CTRL mobile

at £10 30GB deal seems like no brainer
(most likely) THREE network, (most likely) no Tethering restriction, but ever so new MVNO

unsure if to "jump or not" personally ??? :j
Just asked a colleague at work about CTRL and scams... he reckons, I'll be very lucky to get my money back, as he has paid for phone and service to with similar scam service/site, never had nothing delivered, but it taken him over a month to get to the bank, who refused refund and site has dissolved in to a thin air...

3 more days and I'll be looking again in to offers and etc, but I swear to make my way to the bank in person and not to leave my money mr Allan Lukas... even if it will cost me more in lost time and efforts, than it's worth

I've been with them since September without any issues, I'd recommend them.

    Long story short-
    kSTgnvu.jpg

    taken "the plunge"
and WILL post back findings/experience once got it going ;)

for now- got order email, as anticipated, money (£10) is pending deduction from bank account :j

as Dell boy used to say: "Rodney, who dares...." :D

you said bank account so I assume that means you used a debit card

personally I'd stick to using a credit card as I believe doing a chargeback is easier with a credit card

I will be interested to see if the 30gb with tethering materialises

looking at the terms & conditions (below) it talks about 'All You Need Data' but that term doesnt seem to be mentioned on any of the current plans you can buy

    All You Need Data

If your use of 'All You Need Data' provided as part of your Ctrl Mobile package exceeds that reasonably expected of a person using the service for domestic purposes, the following action will be taken:

    1. Excessive use over 500MB in one day will result in restrictions to your data service for the remainder of that day.

    2. We reserve the right to reduce your maximum bandwidth to 3G speeds for the remainder of your monthly billing cycle.

Tethering (using your phone as a hotspot), P2P sharing, torrents and connecting to VPNs are not permitted on our ''All You Need Data' plans, if we detect this, we may:

    1. Restrict your service and/or

    2. Charge you Ctrl Mobile!!!8217;s standard rates for any use exceeding those reasonably expected of a person using this service for domestic purposes. We will inform you before we start charging you our standard rates.

Haha, some ambiguity there. 30 GB allowance a month, but 500 MB a day is excessive.

I don't believe, I'll come to the part of it working... he's just using automated system for payment processing and I highly doubt, he has any intention of having ANY service to provide, let alone to send the SIM as promised ;)

I know, I am, as it appears- always looking for a bargain or underdog to help out, but this time, I shot myself in a foot, as there isn't a single other user to confirm them operating or not... (meaning not)
